Would blizzard issue a 72 hours ban if they caught you botting, or a 6 month ban ?
If you never had an offense would the say final Warning or just give you a warning.

Posting for a friend who is wondering he bought an account and got a 72 hour ban after purchasing it. But he never botted the account so he's wondering what happened.

      Right now the policy stands:
First offense warrants a 6 month ban.
Second offense warrants an 18 month ban.
Third offense warrants a permanent ban.

The old system used to be dependent on the GM.

Did this friend of yours ever bot on any accounts in the past or have they been banned in the past on another account?

I have 3 accounts banned in 16/12 banwave. All 3 of them banned for 1st time they got 6 months ban. After the banwave i made a new account fresh-not attached to old battlenets etc. I went manualy to lvl 100.I boted 4 hours in the afternoon then 6 hours in the morning and it got an account closure.Perm ban on a fresh account that never boted before. So i'm kinda scared to use HB for now i got me 3 new account leveled them up but not dare use HB on them at least not yet.

Edit. I used bot to herb-mine tanaan on my own profile.Bot runs around at least 2 hours before it passes from same coordinates.

Did you erase all Blizzard related cookies from your browser?
Did you make sure to change your IP before making the new accounts?
      Did you change your MAC?
Did you erase your folder and re-download WoW?

If you answered no to any of these questions Blizzard knew exactly who you were and that you made another account to bot on. That being said they had no problem perma banning you on the first offense rather than a 6 month ban.

Formated all 3 pc's each one of them with different IP (3 dif ISP's) different mac address.
I had nothing related to my former status what so ever.I'm not new to this. That's why i was surprized both for getting banned so fast AND for getting a perma ban.I tried to milk away some info from them and all i got was that my account failed their checks and investigations into bot or 3rd party software usuage. I'm in the dark here . Don't know if people are still using HB with no issues and i'm missing something or if people are taking a small step back to see how this will evolve.

All worthless steps and doing all this didn't protect you in the least bit. Blizz already can tie all of your accounts together. Read my signature.

i only use 1 client on each pc. I have my accounts on dedicated pc's.Worked great so far i farmed over 18 hours a day for few months with not a single ban. After the last ban wave it seems something is changed.About your signature i will tell you one thing. You over-rate blizz. And with the right software you can narrow wow client to work only to parts you want it to work.Any other attempt to access anything more from my computer returns them a royal access denied response. They got tricks we got ours.Still somehow i feel i messed up something... :/

You didn't read my signature very well. Good luck running anything on your pc without your CPU. It doesn't matter if you only run one instance per pc, the second you log into the game, blizz has your CPUID. Log into another account from a pc that has already been caught by blizz, and congrats, they just tied your accounts together. Formatting your hard drives, changing your ISP, running through a proxy will do absolutely nothing to protect you. If you don't actually change your hardware (and by hardware, I mean your CPU), you did absolutely nothing to protect yourself.

And I'm over-rating Blizz? They made it very clear they can ban any and all of us anytime they want. If anything, it's YOU that's under-rating Blizz.

Just because you bot for long periods of time, it in no way means your account is safe. Hell, my accounts I was actively botting on were not banned during the last banwave. Do I think my accounts are safe? Not in the least bit.

In that case, have you tried to fake a CPU ID while running a VM OS?

lol i might as well write my own bot.I propably missed the post where it says that you can run HB on a machine for as long as you get banned once then you'll need to either change hardware or be an IT expert to do all these things each time you get caught. My bad i guess...

pls stop your BS about CPUID. where is no serial number on CPU. where is no unique CPU in the world.
