This is more a request. The "TEMPLATE for BAN REPORTS" returns the most time 0 information of how someone used his bot to get banned. I think it would be interessing which botbases etc. someone used before the ban etc.... pvp bots(full afk) seem to be easily recognized. silly quest bots too. I think it is in the interest of all , if we gather all the information to make the bot safer... (request = forum/thread to get more detailed information)
How does gathering more info protect you if the bot is detected? You've been told since day 1 that if you bot, you'll get banned. More people botting one type will lead to more reports, which will lead to more bans of that type. In older expansions, it's been questing/grinding, then it was gathering, now it's pvp primarily. Who's to say that in Legion it may be something completely different. If enough people decide that pvp botting is too risky, they'll switch to gathering or grinding, which will lead to more reports, which will lead to more bans. If you think you're protecting yourself by going to the bans forum, you aren't. You could be banned for any type of botting activity at any time. You won't even know it's coming until it happens. Having all the knowledge in the world won't protect you.
I never said anything else. Your arguments read very..americ.... put a condom over your finger an you will never be a father.... More Informartion will help to not get banned so fast...
You don't read, nor do you write very well. As I said, having all the information in the world isn't going to protect you in the long run. Even if it keeps your account safe for an extra day, you still aren't safe.
I know my english is sh**... .I never said that more information make an acc save... you think that i said that this would protect an acc
What's the point of having more information if it's not going to protect your account? And if this, as you say, a REQUEST, maybe you should put the REQUEST in the SUPPORT sub-forum, instead of a sub-forum used to discuss ban reports? Here's the link in case you can't find it: https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/honorbuddy-support/
yeah thats ryftos thing, he never said anything positive ever, in every thread it seems like he is searching for a chance to throw a punch. its really sad but maybe he has nothing better to do.
Alive there are basically two types of bans....maybe more but I group a lot into the reports sections. Player/GM Reports - This happens generally when either your bot messes up and you get seen doing stupid stuff like running into objects for hours on end or maybe doing stupid paths in circles for hours on end. Then there are the repetitive stuff like killing something for really long lengths of time that humans won't normally do such as killing things for more than 8-10hrs at time. No doubt it can't be done by a human but highly unlikely and if reviewed by Blizz your pathing could easily be seen as a relatively consistent pattern. Detection of some sort - This is your typical banwave thing where they find us on a wide scale. This is basically out of our control because it matters little to nothing what we are doing per say only that we have the product active during the scan for something specific within the bot. The one we can defense is the Player/GM reports and that can be done by minimizing AFK sessions and also changing up routines along with minimizing long sessions of doing repetitive task and location location location. Doing your business where people visit less frequently. As for Detection we are at the mercy of the bot maintenance/programming crew as they either create the fixes or maintain the tripwire or both combined. So....hope this helps in someway. Demon
I agree. Eventhough I don't bot any longer. It is still good or interesting to know what you were using the bot for and which profiles. They asked those questions in the old template. It gave a better insight on what people were getting banned for. Although nowdays it is pretty clear. No matter what you use the bot for, you WILL get banned. Guess that's why they changed it.
Just to throw my little bit of "helpful" info into this thread, I will start out with this... I have been playing WoW since mid-TBC. I have been botting WoW since 2010. I have escaped numerous ban waves. I have quest botted while speaking to a GM without a ban. They finally caught me in the 12/16/2015 ban wave. In that week I had been using quest bot, along with Kick's 90-100 profiles for boosted toons, as I was on my boosted hunter. I was botting about 6-8 hours, fully supervised at roughly 95% monitor time. There were a couple of times I wasn't monitoring because I got up to get a drink or something to eat. I did the 6-8 hours on two different days in that particular week. I stopped using any type of gather bot or garrison bot even before the May 2015 ban wave. The only two bot bases I have used on HB are Questing bot and Enyo. This is my first ever suspension and I got six months. I was completely skipped over for a 72 hr suspension. If I get caught again, they will give me an 18 month suspension. They also strip the account of all currency and items they feel were gathered while botting, which basically means the account will be stripped of all gold and possibly some other items. It's just my personal opinion that HB is somehow detectable, and maybe that detection lies in the process scanning that you agree to when you accept the EULA and ToS.
