After my suspicions from the last ban wave, I got an account while it was 75% off and just played it from Dec 31 to Jan 31 on the "free" month. The time expired as I did not renew it. I had only run combat routines, no auto target or auto move or anything, didn't play more than 3-4 hours in any given day and received the email saying 6 month suspension. It is peculiar to me that even though the account was time expired and never had a paying sub that they still suspended it for 6 months. They did not touch my other account that I have never botted on.
That's because HB is beyond detected. My HB account got busted, yet the other one is still going hard.
I also wanted to note that an account I had banned a couple months ago is listed as "banned" and this one is listed as "suspended" and neither had time left on the accounts.
So I have 2 accounts. One hit with an 18 month ban just now and I was botting on that one when the Tripwire event occurred. The other I've been botting almost 24/7 since the HB update. The one I've been running since the update is still active. Tripwire event is definitely what caught people.
This single occurrence does not confirm that it's the cause of it. People running even after the event are getting hit.
I have to make my own report, but I can confirm I completely missed the last 2 TW events and was also hit with a 6 month as well this go around. I've only run CRs + Enyo in BGs, Ashran, and Arenas for the last 4 months, so I'm chalking my ban to reports in 2s where, against my better judgment, I capped CP for weapons on alts to save time. Until Bossland says different, I'm blaming my suspension on my own stupidity.
Indeed, the ban is only catching a small group of people. Aye, it looks like a lot of reports, but its a very tiny fraction of the Community. [Official] Announcement regarding recent bans
