Before Blizzard got into the business of gold selling it seemed like many accounts were relatively safe. Since Blizzard got into the business of selling gold it seems like there is a ban wave every few months. In the past bans were typically caused by other players reporting you. Now it seems as though they are attacking the software itself. There is no question that Blizzard has superior developers than the honorbuddy team. They have much more money and resources. Now, with them selling gold, they have a reason to dedicate those resources to shutting down honorbuddy. How can the honorbuddy team compete with these highly motivated giants? Honestly, I don't they can. I think honorbuddy is in it's death throws. It may take a few more ban waves before the majority of customers catch on, but I honestly think this is the end of botting as we knew it. Tripwire won't save you. Bot and you'll get banned.

nope, its not. i actually got hit with 2 accounts. booth accounts was questing since 02.01.16 24/7 .. booth accounts are full lvl 100 with gear lvl 700+ on 1 popular server with every char (hunter, dk, monk, warrior...)
gold on horde and ally is over 900k ea.

i got this accounts for 20€ ea. (40€ booth) with 2 keys (bought them some time ago with lifetime for like 50€) thats actually 90€ ..

i got hittet for 6 month, so im back in the new addon, have to buy 1 or 2 month to play, have lots of time to up all to 110 legit and sell em booth for arround 200€ ea.

      so .. 400€ - 90€ key & account - 30€ 1 month playtime = 280€ win. why should i stop to bot right now? o.o
if i can be sure HB will work for arround 1 month (i did some timespend on aeonaxx, etc, took lots of time) i can start that again, again .. and again. and ill get more, cuz i dont have to pay for that keys again.

so its just a win for me. sadly i cant start right next to the addon, but it doesnt mind.

As long as people can run accounts and get meaning from them on personal level HB will be about. If WoW started banning accounts every month and captured everyone even CR/Garrisionboss/Dungeonbuddy every single month; HB would die. The risk would simply be too high. Blizzard won't keep this up, they're making a stink about it atm due to Court as well as Sub numbers being "cyclical" but we should see a nice patch now where blizz calms. In this period, between the last content patch and the new xpac is when blizzard has typically avoided banning anyone except the hardcore botters/gold farmers/idiots. They usually do a ban about a 2months before the xpac to make sure people sign up for more acts; but considering a lot of us will be coming off 6monthers in the middle of june (assuming a sept Legion release) blizz should chill between june and sept.

The ban waves are happening on a monthly basis at this point. You would have to be a complete fool not to think Honorbuddy is on it's last legs, or at least question the thought.

cuz they found a way to sniff it, so they do it ..
was (maybe) a big mistake from the devs they didnt see that "glitch" alrdy on the last 2 events.
      now its fixed, we'll see.

exactly! least they were honest in saying we found something. time will tell if it's been pugged.
however even if we go for quiet awhile blizzard will go after it's biggest nemesis again. the cat and mouse game continues...

HB is far from death throws. In 2015 there were 3 ban waves and one was due to an error not noticed by HB. This was the first time HB has EVER not caught this. The first two ban waves were directed at one single type of HB, neither of them being the gatherbuddy profiles but rather people who had PVP'd with HB (this is stated by HB that the bot is NOT designed for this). Both bans came weeks before quarterly reviews as has EVERY ban on HB to date. It is a way for them to "boost" subscription/purchase base while giving the "legitimate" players something to rest their minds on. HB is legally doing nothing in violation. It is instead the people who bot that are violating the ToS so HB is safe from Blizzard. The bots will be around and even the most advanced programmers will not be able to catch every aspect in a way to immediately detect HB whenever it is used. Rather they can only ever detect a certain thing HB does. When they try to implement the detection process they must hotfix/patch the game and HB goes down for these so their Devs can make sure it is all up to speed before allowing you to risk your account. This is how HB stays ahead. Botting will be around for as long as the game is and with people needing to actually spend money to Blizz to purchase token for selling Blizz knows whats up. The more tokens are in demand the more the gold value goes up. The more the gold value of them goes up the more people will spend cash to sell them. So botters using their gold to purchase these tokens driving that price up is beneficial to them. It is a way for them to make money off the people botting.
