[ANSWERED] Toon doens't have flying capability....

Toon doesn't have flying capability in this area, and there is no ground path to the destination. Please learn the flying skill appropriate for this area.


I'm trying to use Botanica.xml from Azyul optimized gold farming.
I do have flying on Outland.
I'm trying to use it on 2 chars , same problem on both.
Used SVN to get the lastest profile.
I have a fresh copy of HB.
I runned the buddy wizzard it said i have net... + the other thing.

I made a post on the author thread , this happened with 1 more profile , some from kick's leveling , in jade forest after i entered and started questing at lvl 85 ,
but there i could solve it picking another profile and it worked

 

From my experience, FlyTo will randomly say that. Don't know why but it seems like it has troubles detecting the player's current situation so it immediately thinks it can't fly.
But from the looks of your log, you're starting the bot inside of a dungeon. Try starting the profile outside of the dungeon.

 

I tried that too , i got the same error no matter where started , inside or outside

 

The limitations of FlyTo...

Hi, Bogdan23lolx, and thanks for the log.

Basically, the problem occurs when both of these conditions are met:

• There is no ground path to the destination.
  This happens when the destination is 'in the air' (like a few of the dungeons), or on a ledge (like found in Deepholm). Also, recall that Honorbuddy cannot calculate a ground path if a 'zone boundary' transition is required. Examples include inter-continental travel, or entering/leaving instances.
  
  
• FlyTo is called while the toon is standing in a non-flyable area.
  'Non-flyable' areas include deeply 'indoors', or other flight-restricted locations. FlyTo will make an effort to locate a nearby flyable area, move to it, and try again, before emitting the message.

FlyTo emits the message and stops, because it has no way to distinguish between a 'temporary' non-flyable situation (e.g., the toon is indoors), versus a 'permanent' non-flyable situation (e.g., the toon does not have flight capabilities for the continent, flying is disallowed on the expansion at the moment, the whole zone is deemed 'non-flyable' such as Ghostlands/Bloodmyst Isle, etc). Since there is no ground path to the destination, FlyTo cannot fall back to surface-based navigation.

It is the profile's responsibility to make certain the toon is standing in a flyable area before any attempts are made to call FlyTo. Profile defects should be reported to the author.

HOWEVER, if you manually moved your toon into a non-flyable area, then the defect was caused by you, and not the profile.

As a work-around, just move your toon into a flyable area on the correct continent before starting Honorbuddy.

Closed all games .
Deleted wow cache.
Closed all bot instances.
Deleted HB cache.
Restarted PC.
Logged my char.
Started HB.
Loaded profile.
I was standing in front of dungeon portal , 5 yards away. not mounted.
Started profile , he walked back 5 yards then he entered dungeon.He did this without mounting.
Same error ...

The error occurs after entering the instance , when the character is inside.

You've basically proved this is a profile error, and you should contact the author regarding this.

1. "He entered dungeon"
2. Then, the profile tried to use FlyTo inside Botanica (according to your descripton)

Botanica is a non-flyable area. There is nothing further we can do to assist you in this matter.

I also posted on author thread and he said it might be a behaviour error as i quoted above , i also attached these new logs on his thread now i'm waiting for an answer.
