Tripwire info is confusing

so based on the post about the recent wave:

Tripwire is only used for future logins/releases during a detection? So anything running before/during the tripwire event will be flagged.

So there's really no major need for tripwire outside of "hey there's a detection, you are flagged now" ? My understanding of tripwire was to prevent the detection and log off / lock the bot from running once any change was noticed.

 

It's meant to give you a false sense of security. HB is and always will be detected. So don't use it on any account you care about as it will, no matter what, get banned at some point in time.

 

botting is a cat and mouse game, after 2 major banwaves in may and December they finally got around to updating tripwire to catch what was causing the bans from their perspective. however an good portion of accounts were flagged obviously hence this banwave we seen. TBH it ain't as big as may or December but still pretty big. However with tripwire updated, blizzard will one day find a new way to detect HB and hopefully it won't take so many banwaves to update it again and they can catch things quicker.

But like the old saying goes, don't bot on an account you don't want to loose.

 

the number of people who risk their accounts with barely any knowledge about how botting works is crazy

do you think blizzard sends out an announcement message "we are trying to detect HB now"...there will always be some delay before tripwire kicks in. try reading and you won't make yourself look foolish like beastly bot

the bottom line is that they discovered what caused previous banwaves..which is the biggest news in the last year and all you have is ppl whining, must be funny for the devs

 

I feel HB is doing their job. It doesn't make a difference if people know how the detection process works; I don't have any understanding on the process of how beer is made/etc but I still trust Corona and enjoy it every time. HB sells us a product and does their end of the deal; we do our end by giving them our cash.

So if quality controls stops with Corona making it taste like piss you still pay for it and drink it?

My dog. I know HB won't ever say it; I would yet again be completely behind HB changing to a monthly subscription model if it meant we were received a better product, cleaned up the community and gave the dev's what they deserved.

As always in life guys, if you're upset about something, don't whine, just move on. Nobody is forcing you to use the bot lads.

If you feel like HB hasn't honored your agreement with them, then contact them and ask for a refund. I don't see why you're bothering bashing HB, just stop using it, ask for a refund, too easy.

why would they deserve a refund? They paid for a bot they received a bot, HB fulfilled their end of the deal
