It seems that skinning was indeed the issue for all these quests. All these bugs should be now fixed in SVN revision 4725. Skinning will temporarily be disabled while the quest is being carried out, and will be activated again once the quest is completed. Thanks for the reports!
This is one of the few that will need further testing. Its been noted for some time that the quests in Hyjal that revolve around going in/out of these portals has caused issues in the past. However, the issues only seem to come up in specific situations (eg: Going to the vendor or stop/starting the bot at a bad time.) I've got it marked down on my book and will add your log to it for reference when investigating a solution. Hopefully this issue will be tackled soon. Thanks again for your reports!
Awesome! When you refer to the SVN revision, does that mean that using the auto loader directly from Buddy Store will now load version 4725?
It seems that harvesting is distracting the bot - causing it to move into the elite mobs. In the latest commit, the 'Auto Loader v2' will now ignore harvesting herbs or minerals to avoid this (or any other potential related) issue. Thanks once again for the reports and logs!
The SVN source is the base source where both the store and pre-packaged profiles are compiled from - but we typically don't recommend users using it as the store is a much easier acquisition method. The store copy of the profiles synchronize to the SVN twice per day at 11AM and 11PM UTC. So at these times, the store copy is fully updated to the SVN's current source. From the posting of this reply, the store profiles were updated at exactly an hour ago to SVN revision 4725. (see this link for all the commits made to the questing pack and the revision numbers) The pre-packaged profiles are only updated when the bot itself is updated. So it's typically not recommended that you use these as the bot can go potentially months without an update whereas the profiles can be updated multiple times a day. These profiles can be found in the "Default Profiles" directory of your Honorbuddy folder.
You're welcome! And just to be sure, I did see my character go once towards an elite character even though I couldn't see any nodes on the minimap, and I put the character next to quest giver in Blasted Lands. If you're sure that issue was because of a node, then perhaps I set the loot radius to 100 and that's why. In any case, thank you for working on those issues so fast, and for confirming the update on the Buddy Store auto loader v2.
I'm having an issue where the bot will fly to location and not collect a quest to continue (there is no quest available there) . I've already ran this profile and leveled 4 100's with practically zero issues. Is there a way to reset the quest cache or something like that so that it starts over? How does it know what you've completed and what you haven't?
Do you know what quest it may be? Or perhaps a log of the incident? There's two cache folders, one is inside of your Honorbuddy directory - and the other is inside of your WoW folder. Make sure both WoW and Honorbuddy is completely closed, and delete both of the cache folders. After you do so, wait about 15minutes before logging back in.
Here is a log from right now when I ran the bot. Now it just stand there and wont even try to get the unknown quest. Are there any other adverse affects from deleting those cache files?
It seems that the bot is trying to do the quest: 'Gathering the Spark' What is your status on that quest? From the looks of the profile, there's a While loop that's designed to loop an 'interaction' code for as long as the quest isn't complete - but the interaction code is terminating because it's somehow seeing that 'Objective #1' of the quest is completed. Edit: No, nothing bad will come from deleting them. It's just a cache of information pulled from Blizzard's server - it's cached only for performance.
I was actually happening before that quest. The location the bot will fly and sit at is 76.30, 42.73. There is a book on the ground but it is not clickable. I assume that may be a quest item of some sort. I hand finished that aforementioned quest then dropped everything else and the bot fly back to this original spot of being stuck.
It seems that the book may be Barum's Notes which starts the quest Barum's Notes. Does this quest show up as completed for you as well?
I had to get back to work. I'll check once I get home and see if perhaps I can manually complete that quest and get the bot working again. Let's say I've completed it, what would I do in that case?
If the check returns "true?" Then it would definitely be a cache issue - try cleaning them again. If that fails, I can always send you a modified version of the profile with that specific quest removed.
When the bot comes up to Gordal Fortress it grabs the rope to follow the NPC, then the bot just stands there and waits for questgiver to spawn...eventho he is standing right next to me. When stopping the bot and starting it again, the bot runs away from the place. Even when the quests picked up it runs away. The quests are: Supply Recovery, Prized Repossessions and Punching Through
Is this for Horde or Alliance? Also, how are you currently obtaining the profiles? A fix was made for this (Horde) on March 17th.
Horde, i have the SVN folder on my desktop, and i was just about to make an edit, the bot killed some moths then it said its going to "Goal: InteractWith-v2156: "Supply Recovery"
