6 months ban on main account (used fishing bot in garrison for like 30 mins in the last several months). Crazy shit. Gonna miss the Legion release :< Dig this:
I doubt there's many. According to people on here that have used the bot 10min in their Garrison past year and some people saying they used ONLY Combat Routines, it seems like Blizzard has some way of detecting HB atm. Scary.
Main got 1 year left, some random trash acc banned, others not banned. Don't care to be honest, boting is fun. Will do again
4 accounts, botted 24/7 last couple of days, still alive. but kinda bored now, botting was the only fun thing about this game, gonna play CS and rainbow6 till HB get their shit together.
After missing all the bans on 4 accounts, they all got hit today lol. Spent about 45 minutes in chat and on the phone with GM / Support. All 4 reinstated and have to wait 2-3 hours to play since it isn't updated yet. Definitely a full on detection in my opinion at this point, since 2 accounts were inactive from back during the first banwave when the tripwire drama happened.
I stopped playing in FEB. Just logged back in last night and did some random heroic and pvp with hb. just CR enabled. Did the same thing for a few hours this morning, few bgs, few heroics. I put HB on to quest and alt tabbed over a few mins later. Tripwire came on and shut down HB, I have all 5 of my accounts still. So no clue why people report they are getting banned after just logging into HB
what i found interesting was this bit of advice in my appeal ticket "Your account will be unsuspended on 19/11/2016. You would be able to make another account during this time. I strongly recommend removing any automation programs from your computer before setting up another account. " and when u register your account you agree that Blizzard my scan your computer for 3rd party software.. thats fairly broadly speaking.. which could consitute an actual C:/ scan.. is this what they do? i was originally under the impression they could only scan the WOW.exe process..
Bought a trial subscription 3 days ago, and I've been using the archaeology profile almost nonstop since (with 20 min breaks between 4-hour sessions). Now, just 6 hours before my subscription was to run out, TripWire thing happens and it just shuts down, but I can still log on my 7 year old account just fine.
I've only gotten 3 accounts banned out of my 12 or so that I botted on in the last year. 2 accounts running Firelands farm, one wasn't logged in. My main account that most of my botting is done on has now survived 3 banwaves while being logged in for extreme amounts of time. I'm still surprised every day that I check my bots and see they aren't banned.
Nah man, I doubt it. That's illegal. Main account is clear here. I don't bot on it. 2 other botting accounts taken down. All botted from the same desktop.
1 of my 6 farming accounts survived, no clue as to why. That account was running the most hours in Firelands of all my accounts. All accounts were used on the same PC. So this; Is not what happened. Also my main account, which is also being logged on the same PC (no HB) is still safe.
Technically, they are not allowed to. Laws about it are heavily dependent on jurisdiction. Calling it illegal is not 100% correct, though it could be in certain countries. But, even if someone could actually prove that they were doing shady stuff (which is very likely at this point, but would require heavy decryption to check which costs lots of time and money, with 0 warranty of succeeding) , the thing would probably get lost in time and space within neverending bureaucratic jurisdictions, appeals and extremely difficult to understand international business law. Doing that is not simply checking whatever information they openly send, unfortunately. When we (Hb users) talk about these matters, I often have the feeling that we do think Blizzard is stupid. Gosh, A multi-billion company.
You said it yourself, a multi-billion dollar corporation. They have no incentive to risk so much by scanning your computer. There are many other ways to go about detection that have 0% risk.
I rotation botted for the first time since last banwave LAST NIGHT for three hours. You can imagine the look on my face when I check the forums today. Not banned, dodged a bullet big time on that one. The fat lady is singing.
