I dont understand why people why use their bots to get gold, gets so upset, you know wave will come at some point why not just use another account? It costs 9 Euros with 1 extra month (lev90) and you get an account, takes 40h tops to get to 90 and you will get at least 300k/month if you bot like 10-15h/day on a rotation. Buy gametime with gold and you can have the bot up for free. When the banwave comes you will have to get a new account but you wont rly loose anything. Form a guild and have a "Bank-alt" on your mainaccount to take out all the things you want... Barely any real money cost and no big loss when wave hits.
Doesn't make a difference really, if blizzard want to, they'll ban your main account when transferring the gold , "exploiting economy". Only 100% safe way is to have bot account, sell the gold from another spare account or bot account, then use the money gained to buy wow tokens
I have never heard anybody getting banned from withrawling money from the guildbank? I dont farm pure gold, i farm ores and mats then put it in my guildbank (Guild has like 20-30 members aswell) then i have a "Guildbank" character on my main account that i take out the mats and sell or send to a crafter and sell on AH. I havent been banned doing this for almost 3 years now. Very hard to proove anything
Well, you haven't read a lot in this forum then. many, many people who has botted heavily, have suffered this sort of bans. Which they can go as far as banning innocent guildmates. I got my main account banned doing exactly what you are doing. Officer chars in botting guilds. With 0 botting on my main. You have done this for 3 years. Let me assume, on and off, and not selling gold. Good for you, but whenever the time comes that a GM focuses on you, you won't only lose your bots. You'll lose your main too.
can confirm, got hit with this doozy 2 months ago. No real explanation other than 'exploitation of the economy'
I now have a setup where I would have x number of botting accounts feeding valuable items to a banking account. the banking account then sells these items on the ah. my main is completely separated. I also never run my main account whilst any botting account is logged in.
Nope I havent... :/( many, many people who has botted heavily, have suffered this sort of bans. Which they can go as far as banning innocent guildmates. I did it for about 1 year and then I had a break for about 8 months and then on it again for about 1 year now until the account got banned today. No other "Real" members in the guild, just some offline people of old acconts so nobody else will get banned... I dont sell gold I keep it all to myself if that helps any... Good to know, maybe I should be more carefull then... I never deposit gold its just items that I have farmed, like ores and xmogs. How long was this ban that you got, or other people? Isnt that an easier ban to overrule? /M
I don't really see where they have grounds to ban your main account. If you aren't *****ing on said account, they shouldn't be able to refuse you access to that account because you are not violating any of their TOS.
I recommend having a lvl 1 be your bank alt specifically for pulling stuff out of the GB for say every week, so send them roughly 100gold, and have them mail everything to your real banker. After the week is up, remove the weekly bank toon from the bot's guild, delete that toon, then remake. That should eliminate any trace to your main account. Atleast, thats what I believe.
I partially agree ozzy. But , what counts is, they state perfectly clear on their ToS, that they can ban accounts at any given time, without providing any reasons to do so. I went through days and weeks (maybe months) of appeals left and right. I even talked to some "general CM supervisor" which sounded like top tier in Blizz CS. It didn't change a thing, only thing that matters is they CAN do it, and they actually DO that. By all means, please try your best if you happen to be in that situation. But be 100% prepared to be ignored.
