Is it time to just start over with Honorbuddy2, or just call its quits?

Don't bother buying this anymore Hb refuses to step there game up and beat blizz we have been banned 3 times in the last year if you have any common sense you will not spend another dime on this product. HB is sucking money out of you knowing you will be banned within a few months not worth all the money ive tied up into accounts.

I doubt it is so simple as just stepping up their game. Blizzard/Activision has a lot of money and resources at their disposal.

It's already Honorbuddy2 in case you didn't notice the version number.

      Honorbuddy: 2.5 r15214 Build 825

Honorbuddy v1 was completely different than what HB2 is.

If you paid any attention to the forum posts, you'd see that the staff has stepped their game up multiple times. They have implemented code into the bot to prevent the previous banwaves.

What your simple mind can't realize is that Honorbuddy is a very small company which is going up against a multi-million dollar company such as Blizzard.

It's not easy fighting against a company that has a lot more employees and resources than you do.

If you can't handle a ban, then don't bot. That's the botter's creed and it always has been.

even so Hb has a job to do they acted smart enough to stay out of blizz's detection system for so long now they just want to suck your money dry and not offer any form of protection. Why do you think HB hasn't responded to any of the bann posts on this forum? Its because they don't care they sucked everyone's money out of them just in time to beat another wave. They aren't going to get more of my money.

Pro tip, just like HB generates local logs, so do wow servers. Once said script is discovered it is very easy to search through old logs and detect accounts running said script. Bot developers as awesome as they are have no way of telling their script has been discovered until it is way to late. At which point they do their best at hindering the banwave aka tripwire. Blizzard most likely has a randomizing factor built into warden to throw off the developers so not all detected accounts are banned. Like it's been said time and time again, botting is for, and only for disposable accounts.

Why would it be a requirement that they respond to ban posts? That doesn't make any sense.

There's absolutely no need for them to respond to every single ban post.
That's a huge waist of time when they could be doing more important things such as reading the heuristic report by tripwire to figure out what happened.

You're sitting here calling them greedy and money hogging, but what you don't realize is they spend thousands of euros keeping this bot working.
If you read Bossland's legal reports, he has spent over 100,000 euros just this year alone in legal fees to keep the bot alive.
So yea, keep calling them greedy and make a fool of yourself.

About making it 1$ since everyone get's banned nowadays...

With cases in Court, why would you increase?? trying to score before you get blown up in court..

The bot isn't safe and shouldn't be sold at the moment.!

Last time well apparently it was their fault..

Well I got 3 account banned,

      1 was active this morning

1 was not and another account was closed (ran out of time) for now 2 weeks I can surely say that the bot is detectable.

Why are people acting like they're doing lifetimers a favour by keeping them lifetime? I realise we have no consumer protection whatsoever in this grey cesspit of the internet, but when you buy a "lifetime" key for something, that's exactly what it should be - lifetime.

For anyone out there looking to buy...Probably not the best idea at this stage. The bot is detected by Blizzard so unless you can get your moneys worth out of an account in a couple of weeks, maybe months, then steer clear.

      Lol what?

You do realize that honorbuddy is used for more than just casually raiding with Enyo, right? Of course they're doing lifetimers a favor. Most people that get banned simply start up with a new account. If you bought a lifetime key prior to June 1st, it will stay lifetime for as long as Honorbuddy is a thing, so I have no idea what you're talking about.

You don't need to get your moneys worth of an account for Honorbuddy to worth it. Even if you get banned, you still have your key. Simply start up a new account.

No, they aren't doing lifetimers a favor. When a customer buys a lifetime key, it's expected that they get it for the lifetime. HB isn't doing lifetimers a favor by honoring what they were supposed to honor.

I do, however, hope that with this price increase they start doing a much better job at anti-detection methods. And hopefully with the price increase they finally develop a 64 bit system.

Completely agree, as this version of HB is completely detected. I think it is time to start from the ground up, and make it 64 bit while they are at it. Tripwire is done. If they can avoid it, thats it. Time to find something else. Blizz scans our computer, maybe have honorbuddy scan for that scan, as soon as it is detected shutdown. Something new.

What exactly do you think the tripwire was supposed to do?

The detection has nothing at all to with versions. And just stop with the x64 argument, there's absolutely no proof anywhere that switching to x64 will keep anyone anymore safe than x86. All the switching will do is potentially lead to Blizzard to change their anti-botting measures to x64.

It's smart business practice to go after your biggest rival. If HB changes their structure, Blizz will be right there, changing their detection methods right along with them.

If you have some brilliant ideas on how to keep Blizz from detecting HB, you should probably share them with Bossland. I'm sure they'd be happy to humor you by listening to your ideas.

It's not like they have the anti-detection thing down. And there's not proof that switching will help because they refuse to switch.. but the x64 bots out there seem to do a pretty damn good job of avoiding bans more than HB does. It could be that HB is just the bigger target.. but who knows? I get it. More work involved.. blah blah. But the fact of the matter is that when you notice a PC running 32bit with x64 Windows and specced out enough to be able to run the x64, there's a problem. It's just an extra thing that Blizz can do to help detect.

It's easy to fly under the radar when you're so small that it's not worth a company's time to go after you.
