I have been hoping honnorbuddy would stick it to blizzard and show them they could beat the system for detection.
But it just clear that isnt going to happen and nobody knows how.

Its been fun i have been waiting in the backround and finally decided to bot after getting hit by all the waves and LOL BAM hit again.

Honorbuddy used to be a way to get annoying things done on my mains, like fishing for 3 days straight and such but now a main account is out of the question and buying wow account every couple of months just for gold is a waste of money better of buying the gold.

      Take care

HB is as safe as it's always been. If you don't understand the meaning of that statement, you should've never started botting to begin with.

Spreading lies? Have you ever seen HB's answer to "is botting safe?" You do know they have an entire Wiki page that is filled with information explaining how botting is never safe, has never been safe and will never be safe.

Saying I'm the delusional one...I could argue that you're the delusional one, and every person that regularly visits these forums will back me up on my statements.

Of course the guy with the brand new account and 5 posts clearly knows more about this subject than me.

Ok, but here is the thing. Back before the big banwave, HB was able to detect everything and shutdown before being caught through tripwire. This protected people, and only the people who really went at it and did somewhat dumb things got caught because of reports. Now, the HB system protection, tripwire, is being bypassed by blizzards warden at will. This in one short sentence means one thing: HB is NOT safe. They will say they fixed it, but even last time they stated it was a 'false positive' that was tripped and that was why the wait was so long. Well, that false positive now turns out to be a true one, but because the system gets around it so easily, by the time HB realizes it, its too late. So no, HB is not as safe as it always was. Everyone just got caught with their pants down. This sucks for everyone. No need to go at eachothers throats.

Yes, HB is as safe as it has always been. Ask any HB staff member and they will give you the exact same answer I just gave you.

Just because you had a false sense of security, it doesn't mean you were any more safe 3 years ago as you are now.

So I am to trust any HB staff member on how safe their program is, after the program was just caught and thousands of accounts were banned? Do you live in the real world?

      It's "safe as always"...
In the forums, the response to any "is it safe?" question is usually "it is safe as always".
      What this means is:
there is always risk when you bot, and you should understand this already
Bossland GmbH believes client-side protection is intact.
Otherwise, the Tripwire service would activate and disable the Buddy bot.

That is exactly where it went wrong. The tripwire did not activate, and did not disable the buddy bot. Hence, the bot is not safe as always.

You must've missed the 6 or so times on that page where the said that botting was never safe, has never been safe and will never be safe.

Can you show me where on that page where they told you that their security is 100% sound and you wouldn't be banned? Oh you can't, that's funny, because I can't seem to find that magic section either.

You can try to twist the words on that page any way you want to match your argument. The page very, very, VERY clearly says that if you bot, you'll get banned.

You have been told since day 1 that you would be banned eventually. Anyone that told you anything other than that straight up lied to you.

I did not twist any words. I literally copy pasted from the article you told me to go look at, showed where what they said did not happen, and explained why that means it is not safe right now. Maybe your definition of safe is different. I dont mean 100% i wont get banned, but there are other bots where you can run them for simple leveling purposes or lfr and not get caught, I know people who have been doing so for years without getting caught. The real risk is when you overdo it. This bot is not as safe as it was say, 2 years ago. This bot is not as safe as it was 1 year ago. So it is not as safe as always. The game has changed, the bot is flawed, and we can argue semantics, but it gets us nowhere. Now I am off to try and get my account unbanned.

Odd, repeatedly telling people 'HB is as safe as it's ever been' is inferring it's never been safe to begin with, however- people on the outside or with little knowledge of botting or banwaves in general take this at face value and think it's relatively safe like it was in Mists and you'll only ever get banned if you engage in either afk dungeoning in LFD or gathering for hours and hours on end. The very phrase itself is practically designed to be misleading so parroting this stupid catch phrase over and over during the lulls in banwaves then later accusing people of 'twisting words' is ridiculous.

Everytime someone speaks up against Botland you put your armor on and set off on your crusade to prove everyone wrong. So continue on your quest good sir knight, people are totally not laughing at you.

No...As UnderratedPost pointed out, you really need to learn to read. The risk has always been, and always will be the, same. The bot is absolutely as safe as it was a year ago (since you have a short-term memory problem, the first banwave went out almost exactly a year ago).

I'm going to continue to repeat this over and over...

Any sense of security you ever had concerning this bot has always been a false sense. The bot is no less safe now than it has been in the past...Since you are having a hard time grasping that, I'll spell it out in plain English again...

THIS BOT HAS NEVER BEEN SAFE, NOR WILL IT EVER BE SAFE. THE HB TEAM HAS NEVER TOLD YOU ANYTHING OTHER THAN THIS. ANYONE THAT HAS TOLD YOU THAT IT WAS SAFE TO BOT STRAIGHT UP LIED TO YOU.

Is that clear enough for you, or do you need another 15 posts explaining this exact same point until it finally sinks in?

"It's as safe as it ever was!" -HB Devs

Expecting them to respond in any other manner is like going to an american car dealership and asking the sales rep if this car will break down at 100k miles, of course they'll say it'll be fine.

I'm defending Bossland? Really? You seem to have as hard a problem reading as rayne13 does...

Can you show me where exactly I'm defending HB? All I'm doing is saying the exact same thing that the HB staff will tell you.

Feel free to laugh at me all you want. Hopefully you'll at least learn something today from me continually spewing the exact same information.

Some people have to be told the exact same thing over and over before it finally sinks in.

Sorry, ryfto, but that is simply not true. It's not like I disagree - It is factually false. There wasn't any software detections 3 years ago; There is now and that is the difference. Too many people here are giving a false sense of security by saying "It's as safe as always", implying one of two things:
      - "Pretty safe. You remember, 2 - 3 years ago when we hadn't had a single software detection nor banwave, and you only got banned if you weren't careful. It's that safe."
      - "Not really safe. You will get banned at some point (probably a few months), just like we always said. Remember, we also said that back when HB wasn't detected, so don't say we didn't warn you when you get banned"

Just say it as it is; not safe.

I have said that, multiple times now.

And go ahead and prove to me that Blizz couldn't detect the bot 3 years ago. I'd absolutely LOVE for you to prove that.

Just because they didn't throw out banwaves every 6 months, it doesn't mean that they haven't always been able to detect the bot.

It's funny how people have such short memories on these forums. Most anyone that's been here for awhile will remember that the first of the recent banwaves went out shortly after Blizz lost it's first lawsuit to Bossland. Coincidence? Maybe, but seems like a pretty strange coincidence.

I firmly believe that Blizz has always been able to detect the bot. They simply didn't have enough reason to throw out bans in the past like they do now. Every day Blizz and Bossland spend fighting each other costs each company huge amounts of money. So what's the best way to hurt Bossland right now? Keep whittling away at his user-base until noone trusts his company. If they just banned every HB user right away, the court could look negatively on the action, so they choose to continue to hit Bossland over and over again with small'ish banwaves. And all the while, Bossland keeps losing money.

Of course that's just a theory and I could be completely wrong.
