Hello guys, I havn't been using Honorbuddy for quite a while now since I got perma banned on my main account a few years back.

I have a new account now and everything is fine but I was curious about how the bansystem works regarding referal accounts. I am thinking about putting bot accounts as referal accounts to my new main account in order to level new characters and grant level to my main (No botting whatsoever on my main account). Tho I am unsure if this will somehow get my main account in trouble?

Nobody knows. Till NOW it was "safe" to do so. Connected accounts had a chance to get bannend when gold trading was involved. I never got a ban for my bot-free accounts, even when I traded items & gold directly with bot accounts. Once I connected a full 5-man bot team with my main account and used it for dungeon farming. I granted the levels to my main account and the farmed gold in my guild bank. After a while I got a ban on my 5-man team. My main account, the granted levels and the gold in the guild bank remained untouched.

If you bot on your RAF accounts and grant levels to your main account, your main account is directly benefiting from bots. Which in Blizzard's eyes is just as bad as botting on your main.

There's no guarantee that they'll actually ban you for this, but if you get investigated, you could easily be banned on your main.

As long as the botting account is not run from your computer system, your local subnet, you have not traded ingame goods between them, you are 99% safe, since your account just look as veteran, recruited a new account. No matter if the new one bot or not.

But if your main have "tight" connection with the referral, like ryftobuddy mentioned, in manual investigation, you can get actioned like the bot.

Keep in mind, Blizz are performing manual investigation very rarely nowadays - mostly after player reports, non-marginal gold-trades or other exploitative activity, which push the "big-red-lamp" on blizzard side.

Oh alright, thanks for all your input guys, appreciate it a lot. But as Aion mentioned blizzard very rarley nowdays does manual investigations, what do you think my odds are running a so to say "5 man dungeon party" and granting all levels to my main without trading any gold or items? Like one in ten, a hundred, thousand etc, that they manual investigate if the 5man grp is banned?
