best way i learnt is to reformat your pc, if i started botting again i'd be king hit using hb within days, after re-format they last till a 6month wave hits or if suiciding till blizzard server side scripts kick in. i got a static i.p and never hide my software, i doubt seriously if they log it but i firmly believe they log wow install/reg keys after my testing which i lost quite a few in the area of 50. so i think rytobuddy is on the ball about all the extra methods are useless. as for hb being safe, come on guys as long as blizzard is facing them in court and everyone knows they are blizzard no 1 target by default it will never be safe until blizzard backs off but due to court action they never will especially when they loose. blizzard have implement stronger server side scripts for suicide botters and 5 man raf teams as more people are finding out the hard way lately. then we have the good old 6 month ban waves, we are not sure how this is done but we know it will happen again hb may be non-detected it may be we cannot say not even boss land can answer this only blizzard so who knows in a few more months if we will see one only time will tell. Currently HB in my mind is great for suiciding botting still just way more riskier these days with stronger implements and levelling alts up then transferring them to another account straight away. The days of using HB on your main are long over especially if your are wanting to push to the high ends of pve content/guilds top 100 or top brackets of pvp.
I use my own vpn virtual servers in a physical server i rent outside my country and have never been banned outside of banwaves of course!!!!! if you use well known commercial vpn offerings then blizzard will probably flag you for inspection sooner or later. IMHO use vpn ONLY with private openvpn servers you set up!!!!!!! In my local pc everything runs in vmware vms and all bots are on different bnet accounts. I have a template vm with wow installed from dvds from physical battlechest, without any account or key registered. When a bot is banned, i spin a new vm with different mac address from the template, setup vpn, setup the new wow account with a key from an online purchased battlechest and start clean. If you want to be "paranoid" then this is by far the best setup! PS: for less technical people -> each vpn virtual server has it's own ip address of course!
So which is it? It sounds like you're getting accounts banned outside of banwaves from your statements. And there's been literally 100's of posts proving that all the security measure you are taking do absolutely nothing to keep your accounts more safe. There's many, many, many users that take zero security measures and never receive bans outside of banwaves. All I see is wasted money with your setup.
My only bans are during banwaves only!! Now the last 40 days I use for 2 suicide bots(21-22h/day, 0.5% monitor) , with a heavily customized Azyul profile and for the time they still going strong. The ban is expected this time before the next banwave. As for the server, it's primary use is a development-production server not related to wow. You can rent very cheap vps or even dedicated servers for a more demanding setup, to run openvpn servers. You do not need to spent a lot of money.
The last thing I'd use a development-production server for is running bots. You're doing nothing but hurting your business by taking CPU cycles away from your devs, which should be what's bringing your income in. Again, all I see is wasted money.
The server is not used for business, it is a hobby above all. It hosts a couple web apps for an intranet of 15-20 people provided by me for free, i do not make money from that. My proper job is something else. Yes, if it was used for business purposes, making money from paying customers then only production software would run on it. Nobody complains for slows or downtime. Using just free software -> pfsense for routing, firewall and openvpn - linux vms and docker and everything runs smoothly. Now for wow, you need a cheap vps (3-5 euro) with centos or ubuntu , install openvpn and you have the perfect vpn server for a single user. Definitely you do not need a xeon server with 32gigs of ram for wow alone!!!!!
Its not safe,i started to bot with 3 accounts on 2 pcs,and got them banned soon after i reached level 100.Blizzard probbly have sme detection system, bossland just wont admit it,it would be stupid from them to do that,it would mean end of bossland and their main income.
Flagged? Your not getting flagged. Your problem is player reports if you get caught in arena. Make sure you handle kicks and all CC's manually. I assume you don't.
What I can gather from both the fanboi posts and the regular ones is that; Honorbuddy is detected and only really viable for suicide botters nowadays. Banwaves occur too often for it to be useful for the casual botter. What fanbois say: "If you attach it to your client, you WILL be banned.", "Only a matter of time.", "It's as safe as ever." > Detected. What casuals say: "I did X and Y for safety and got banned anyway." > Could be stupidity. I've been staying clear since last banwave, gotten caught in all (3?) of them so far, I suggest you do the same unless you want to suicide bot and/or have the funds necessary to get new accounts every 6 months. ... and let the flaming commence!
I don't think you have a clue what a fanboi is... A fanboi would be saying the exact opposite of the example you've given.
There's a post in MMO Champion about recap/notes from Q&A with Legion Dev. There's one section about cheating and the first line says, "..There is a group of people that has a full time job of reviewing player actions and punishing cheaters..." Regards, JG
Not really. There are tripwire events and banwaves happening over and over. Didn't use to be like this. I want to go back to WoW but do I not feel like leveling a guy by hand from 1-100 or farming gold by hand to fuel all my alts. Just don't have it in me any more
"If you attach it to your client, you WILL be banned" & "Only a matter of time" means in the fanbois eyes that the software is not detected but stupidity will get you caught eventually anyway. Saying that anyone who criticizes is stupid et.c. I'm saying their arguments are flawed and their logic bad by presenting those statements as commonly used arguments. One of the most common phrases thrown around is "It's as safe as ever", both by the devs and the fanbois. Which isn't true, as stated by others, and when asked to further explain it; it normally, in broad strokes, leads to the other two 'arguments' and they unwittingly imply the software is detected. Also a slight bit of sarcasm in that post.
