Do you understand how the detection bans work? They don't send an update to see if Tripwire catches it and then just ban everyone immediately. Detection bans are done after several detections have happened so that they can make it more difficult to figure out what the problem was. There is no real way to know whether Tripwire worked until a month or longer has gone by.

Of course you won't...It's been the same excuse since day one. You think you're actually protecting us by not posting any information, yet banwaves continue to roll out every 6 months.

Your lack of information has really been proven to keep us safe in the long run.

And if you know that Blizz is on these forums, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Actually, it's been three ban waves in a little over a year.

One of the reasons there's no BuddyBot for GW2 is because the game gets a new build pushed nearly daily. With the frequency of needing to update the bot vs. the profitability of a GW2buddy being so crummy, further development was cancelled.

Not sure they'd do the same if it came to daily updates for WoW though, as it's certainly very profitable for them.
You could be a Blizzard employee for all they know.

So you want the banwaves to be rolled every month? 22 days to be exact as that's the gap between the attempts on 8th of June and 30th of June

Nope, I don't want the banwaves to roll out at all...

But you haven't been doing a very good job of preventing that either, now have you?

If no banwaves occurred for a year, I'd buy you a beer..In fact, I'll buy you a keg.

So do you find it acceptable for banwaves to occur every 3-6 months, Raphus? Actually, even better, does Bossland find it acceptable?

Im already coming back to say "I told you so" after you said tripwire didnt save us last time. :D

Why would they make new method to detect HB if the last one was a success? :) They would already have the info they need for the next banwave! It's not that difficult to work out what is going on here

Almost a month has already gone by since tripwire saved us last time, now they tried again and failed again :)

I think thats wrong. It was May 2015, December 2015, and one time this year. Also two of those was because either Tripwire was not runnning properly or Blizzard used illegal tricks to bypass the Tripwire

Damn the very day that I come back after not playing since 2014 and theres a tripwire. LOL.

Also, I'm glad to see there's still so many professional digital security analysts in the forums while the bot is down to grace us with their expertise. ROFL. You guys should go outside and get some fresh air.

Anybody else watching the Brian Holinka game director stream on twitch? He's doing Q&A and was asked about third party software in PVP. I'm not going to try and repeat what he said verbatim by memory but it was basically, "We've got a highly dedicated team of people that hunt for these players and we know who they are".

      That really shouldn't surprise anyone...

There's a reason that arena's have never officially been supported by the HB team.

I didn't catch everything he said but I did hear him mention something about interrupts while he was elaborating. I'm gonna have to go back and watch that section when its over.

This is paraphrased and taken from MMO-C...

There is a group of people that has a full time job of reviewing player actions and punishing cheaters.
The team is reviewing their policies about repeat offenders right now, do we want to allow repeat offenders to stay in the game.
Kick botting is a challenge. Interrupts aren't on the GCD, so you can cast them at any time. The team considered putting back the GCD but it didn't feel good.
The team cares about the cheating problem and they are working on solving it.
