I had this problem a few days ago...

 

did 2 day trial in ashran...holy fuck impressed. Bought.. Will update when im fully decked.

edit: i like the chat function how do i edit it better. I see breaks for words to say...but my problem is the tooltip words are cut in half. Ive seen this on other programs ive ran...since my wife installed myob :S so ive had to read your post while editing.

could you in future post do like chat words filled in etc note people to change these?

 

Looks like the bot has detected it needs to get out of the mine, but for whatever reason Honorbuddy can't work out how to get up those stairs. You could maybe try adding a blackspot under the stairs where your toon was. Move to that location, open the GUI, click the Navigation tab, then click Add Blackspot.

The 'thinking time' varies depending on what's happening and what the bot is doing at the time. If you make that too quick, when you would be standing around waiting for stuff to happen - it would run back and forth/circle loads - and that's very obvious that something is up. Being a little bit slow is safer. I know what you're saying, there is times when I look at it too and think "come on do something" - but when I reduce those timings down it gets crazy obvious what you're doing.

Pathing in TP is a nightmare. Not sure what you know about how the game's mesh is built up, but there's generally a few layers of mesh (terrain)- one that you actually play on - what you actually see in game, a base (or 2 - generally completely flat), and sometimes a ceiling (think silvershard mines). TP for whatever reason has a mesh *just* below the one you play on, which causes havoc for the bot trying to navigate around. The starting hut's are the worst. Trying to make it run over that log instead of through the water would be virtually impossible (for me at least).

It'll only run back and forth depending on what it thinks is the next best thing to do based on what's actually happening in the BG at the time. I'd need more specific situations with logs and descriptions to be able to look into it further.

Do you mean the GUI is all cut off because font is too big? If so that's related to windows display scaling. Quick google will explain how to change it.

 

I've got a fresh install rocking here, and I can't get the gear buyer to work. When I click fetch items, it lags for a few seconds, then populations an empty table. Shows the field names and stuff, but no items. Easy fix for this? I seem to remember this being a problem before.

 

Reloading Wow + HB generally fixes this issue.

 

Ok mills I really need some assistance. I purchased both bgfarmer and your demo routine. With Ashran it is still kinda buggy but only tried it out a couple times there. Now in all the rest of bgs I am getting owned, I am sure it is the settings somewhere. I did it with affliction and triple the damage I did with demo. Can you shoot me a message or something and let me know the best settings. Please help

 

What's your gear like? If you haven't got full 700+ gear then you'll get owned regardless of how good any settings are. That's what BGFarmer is there for though, playing through the awful period of getting owned repeatedly until your toon is geared up so that you can actually enjoy it once it's geared.

I am looking to purchase it straight away as I dont have my laptop currently as it is being repaired but I didnt do a trial.
The only thing I would like to ask, does it actually stealth and prowl? because BG Buddy Does not. Also would I Be able to remove autointerrupt (as that would be the most likely reason people report you as a cheater from the enemy team) or do I remove that in the class specific options of HB itself

 

Stealth/Prowl/Interrupting is all controlled by the combat routine. You can make BGFarmer not use a mount so that it runs around in stealth though.

I was hoping you might be able to clarify a few things with regards to your botbase. I have been a user since the day you released it so i like to think I am experienced in how to operate it. I have the settings the way I like them and have not been banned yet using your botbase. But there are a few things out of my control that the botbase handles. I know a lot of people have mentioned this but when you cap a flag or have the defend option ticked, it is so bot like. Why can't the character just stand still when they are waiting for the flag to cap?? It stands still then every 5-10 seconds runs in a zigzag often either running into the flag then into a position facing a tree or a fence. It would be so much less bot like to stand still and maybe add a crazy strafe option like the player is goofing around?

At the moment, I have to have every optioned disabled which would lead to be standing at a base. And I would recommend to others that they do also. In the domination section, I only have defend bases being attacked and attack undefended bases ticked.

It would be nice to have an option to stand still when waiting. The movement in random directions is a big red flag!

PS, this isn't a slander of your work. BGFarmer is a well developed product and is a massive life saver!!

Just came across this. I started using the built in BGBuddy and sat and looked at it and it was truly horrendous. I am interested in buying this product but have a few questions:

1. The above post made me wary of this
2. Will this be developed for Legion?

I am asking this as it is quite a few $$ for me to lay out.

Hey - There's a big fundamental reason in the logic as to why it does these 'micro movements' when waiting around. It's definitely something I'd like to get removed/improved in the near future. I'm currently working morning until night updating combat routines for legion, so BGFarmer is having to take a backseat for a little while.

Have a go of the trial to see how you get on. There's a hell of a lot of settings, so take your time setting the bot up to how you want it rather than just clicking start.

Yeah, I'll be keeping it going in Legion.

Works much better now that my lock is geared. It is having issues in ashram though no matter which toon I play. It seems to run back an forth a lot which to me looks quite botty. I will load up my lock later and run a full ashram and shoot a logfile. He is fully equipped in season three big gear.

 

Ashran Run Warlock Full PVP Gear

Like I said earlier I wanted to shoot you my log of an Ashran run today. It was testing on my part. My lock is destro and fully pvp gear equipped. I am using your bgfarmer and lock routine. I watched from time to time and seemed very botty looking, also there were a number of places he got stuck. Please take a look and great work by the way, I own all your products.

You know what I do like... the custom navigation system you have implemented. Buggy, yes! But it has great potential. Excited to see further development for this.

 

Thanks. I'm aware of the back/forth behaviour and I think I've got an idea on how to resolve it. Getting stuck can be difficult. There's 2 ways to tackle it - adding a blackspot using the navigation tab in the GUI, or by enabling hearthstone on stuck. That way if you do get stuck you'll hopefully hearth out to the Garrison then fly back and re-join the next battle.

I'm currently putting serious hours into updating my CRs ready for Legion, so BGFarmer is having to take a back seat for a little while.

Wasn't sure anyone actually used that. I wrote it ages ago. Definitely buggy but pretty cool when it works. It's something I need to revisit.

 

Yeah please do. I was getting sick of the poor meshing in battlegrounds. Especially places like twin peaks when you are at a flag and it decides it can't run to the enemy then runs around the outside under wooden scaffolding. Or when you are in the middle and it decides it can only get to the other side of the island by running around and long the wooden bridge thing. Your system made watching it a little less painful ha!

 

Is there any reason people farm BG's anymore? It sounds like people can get geared in just a few hours in Ashran apparently these days? Im returning after a long time so Im just trying to get filled in...Im just wondering if this is necessary to get some pvp gear without being banned while using something like bgbuddy lol.
