Friend spoke to me about the bot in-game... -.-

Hello guys,

I was debating if I should get the bot or not with some friends, however, one of them asked me IN-GAME if I had made my mind about getting it or not...

So I am now wondering, should I still use the bot, or should I wait a few weeks to avoid being caught?

respond to ur buddy with like "yea i think we should get it, the science fair is next week and i think we can win"
 
rofl, it happened some time ago... I've been wondering since then what I should do and decided that the people on this forum would probably know better than me
 
The likelihood of Blizzard actively scanning millions of lines of chat just to catch (potential) botters is extremely unlikely.
 
I still wouldn't talk about it in game. Tell ur friends to give it a nickname. Like "my friend betty plays for me sometimes" or "my little brother billy farms for me. I give him candy its cool"
Then down road when bot gathering. Your friends can go "is this billy or you playing"

Oh it was just a mistake... We were talking on teamspeak but it was too loud at his house, he did not think and said it in-game lol...

Well either way that would be against the ToS.

Anyways, don't worry about it. With 12,000,000 players, the chances of blizz skimming through your log to find that is very low. And you didn't break any rule. Thinking about the bot is different than actually using it.

yeah man dont worrie about it you dont have to be all that paranoid about hb now because you will be alot worse well running it lol. Just tell your buddys when your boting so they know your not on. Download a couple plugins to help with not being detected. and make sure you keep it in ts. idk about your server but botting is a joke on mine. So blizzard has to read 5 million /2 about you bot.
 
For the plug-ins, I saw redalert which might help (most of the time I plan to bot while being working on the computer, but working and not playing ;P) , any other advices?
 
Well if you will be at computer then i dont see any real plugins you would need. But if you were to AFK the plugins would depend on what your doing like leveling,farming,pvp. But one other thing you said you will be on computer well your bots running, make sure you dont minimize wow simplyout it in window mode,all graphics low and window as small as it will go to lower lag. GL if you decide to get HB. And if you need convincing mage,paladin lvl 85 full pvp gear lvl 82 dk(farmer) lvl 20 warrior is running 1-60 questing atm
 
Hmmm, I can't minimize? But then how do I do? Let's say I need to work in PSPad, how can I have wow running without minimized, each type I'll be writing in PSPad it will automatically go minized nope?

Also, I think the only time I could use it when not in front of the computer might be at night with ArchaeologyBuddy, but I don't think I'd do that too often... Any suggestion?

Although Blizzard could have something like Echelon that scans for key words and triggers alarms all over the place when one pops up :)
