Hello. When using Honorbuddy, I will enter scenes that appear to cause WoW to hitch significantly and observe a framerate of about 3 fps while in these scenes. The two that I have observed this happening to are new instances as part of the Legion pre-launch event. Specifically Broken Shores (the instance to follow Gul'Dan as either Horde or Alliance), as well as the repaired Ulduar as part of Khadgar's pre-launch quest that starts from Dalaran. FPS is perfect everywhere else, to the best of my knowledge. These two scenes alone have caused significant frame loss. I followed the advice that was provided on the thread linked below (to clear my mesh folder), which did not solve this issue. It might be tied to framelocking, as disabling framelocking gets rid of the frameless issue, but also makes the routine run less than stellar. https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/honorbuddy-support/253547-broken-shore.html Log file attached. Scene specific to the log would be the solo quest instance of Ulduar reached from Dalaran. Thank you in advance for looking into this issue.
Update: Continuing the same Khadgar quest after Ulduar produces the same issue described above, but in the Karazhan Scenario as well. Sample from log: "[08:01:53.444 D] Could not change maps to KarazhanScenario! Meta map for one or more maps was invalid."
I disabled framelock in the settings and tools and it fixed this for me. I also use the Enyo botbase and turn hardlock off/enable softlock.
The wiki treats this issue in a way that if it were one of the issues mentioned, I should be seeing it 100% of the time given my unchanging CPU, routine and bot configurations. The wiki does not explain why everything works fine 99% of the time in almost every scene... with exception to the unique scenarios I listed. This seems like a specialized issue that the broad-brush wiki doesn't properly address.
Additionally, if the intention of Blizzard is to create more of these story scenarios for their next expansion (which seems to be the direction they're going), I worry that the extreme performance issue a number of us are observing will become more regular than not, and should have a lens focused upon a solution before it gets to that point.
Disabling framelock worked for me as well. The lag only happens for me in the new quest line scenarios.
