So I got banned for 6 months on my main account in December. Obviously really don't want this again. Learned not to bot on main. Been playing 'clean' since being unbanned. I've got 2 or 3 more seperate battle.net accounts and would like to use those to make some gold. I only have one computer so I can't use seperate IP or MAC's. I will not bot and play main account at the same time. At some point the gold would need to be transferred to main account. Other than the transfer and same computer no link between the main and bot. Would the main account be at a big risk when doing this?
I've been doing this for awhile and I hope it will be fine if my botting account gets banned. I'm using it to farm dungeons, should I just go full suicide botting for max profits if the ban eventually comes with dungeon botting as I have heard?
I would watch the ban forums. I would wait till the reports slow down and wait a little more. Right now it seems there is still a steady flow of bans going on.
There will always be a steady stream of bans going on. It's been that way since the bot was released and it will always be that way. To the OP. Only you can say if the risk is worth it to you. If you're fine with losing the accounts, go for it. If you'll be irrationally angry if you lose the accounts, you shouldn't bot.
I'm suicide-botting 5 accounts, transferring everything via guild bank. The only link (except hardware+ip) between my suicide bots and my main acc is that my main acc is the guild master of the guild. Haven't had any issues while using the guild bank, ever. I have however faced a permban while trading 300k face-to-face back in MoP.
The past means absolutely nothing. Your perceived safety in the past has nothing to do with your safety today.
