      Hey

I was wondering if someone could tell me how it works when an account is being punished with a ban? It's based on account investigation but I wonder how long it takes for Blizzard to investigate an account that has recieved reports regarding botting?

Do they investigate the reports on a daily basis or could a ban be delivered weeks, months after the report was made?

I have a question two for this thread.
When the banwave comes, are all people banned who are acctually then online and aktiv use bot, or all people are banned who used this bot for 1x time? Maybe for 3Week 1x.

Sry for my english, but is a good exercise to learn a little bit.

      with best regards
      Texas

Yes i can understand that but you regulary read about people in the ban section who claim they got banned the same day they started using HB, others claim they botted for 7 months and then got a ban. That's why I was trying to evaluate some sort of pattern, if one botted 3 months ago, nothing thereafter, if I then could assume they investigated my account and found nothing suspicious

Again nobody really knows. There is no way to tell if your account has been investigated or not.

Many of these people who are banned the first day or randomly after 7 months are likely player reports. Or just blizzard recognized that no human can farm an instance 24/7. Most current bans are likely player reports resulting in investigation. As you see an absurd amount of the herb/miners being banned right now.

Unlikely the bot is being detected, otherwise we would have been lumped in with another bots ban wave.
