24 month ban on main account, got really unlucky this time around. Couple WQ's completed with the bot but mostly used bot to handle Worgen & Pandaren starting zones. >_>

Yeah perhaps so. I have suspected for a while that several things required to run HB are being exploited to make detection easier. Such as using a 32-bit client and using click to move. Also they are bound to notice players traveling in the same paths and doing quests in a very specific order based on the profiles available.

Two accounts, six month suspension. Was using questbots. Other accounts on Battlenets untouched.

That's interesting that the bot hadn't even attached to WoW at that point. Another big clue.

I think it scans your processes. IMO. Just seems like the most likely thing. It may be illegal, but no one has challenged them on this in court.

One of my accounts got banned. The weird thing is that I botted with my other account at the same time, and the other account survived the ban wave. Banned account was using a public starlight rose profile, and the other farmed foxflower. Tho i knew this was coming since i botted 10+ hours per day with them, and also used public profiles.

Also, I've been botting with my MAIN account quite a bit too (made 1 million gold in 2 weeks) but I stopped botting with it 1 month ago. I did many 4-6 hours botting sessions and a few allnighters. It survived the ban wave also.

Im just happy that my main didnt get hit by the ban hammer and when the other throwaway account survived that's just a plus :)

Never been banned for 3 years of botting.
Put it on questing to get my druid from 97 to 100. Went to the shower. When I came back I found out that I was banned 2 minutes ago. Had a little chuckle cause it was last day before subscription runs off so I guess I'm taking 6 months break from wow

Could be the case. But I get the feeling that the detection was more than just a simple processes scan. Not saying it might be a part of it but I feel that there is more to it than we can see at present.

Well it should be, Blizzard has long made it known that he sees the bot, and the developers bot does not do not do it to prevent anyone, I have since the beginning of the Legion played great with the bot, I think with the Islands finished forever, 3 waves showed that the developer still banned anyone nor whether or not. Without bot play laziness with 100% bot ban

Also im pretty sure that the people with temp bans get caught by the automated system that detected HB.
People with perm bans get caught by GM's

      They do scan

      Google for Warden Client.

I can confirm that this banwave was done 100% solely with Warden and scanning the memory within WoW's client. I purchased another WoW account and played my main account, while botting on my bot account nearly every day. When this ban happened, only the bot account was banned. This was because the banwave only banned you based off the fact that it was injected into the memory of WoW, where warden can scan.

I can also say that they collected data for about a month, my brother bots and stopped botting last month because he was afraid of losing his account. So anyone who botted before October would be safe, but anyone who botted in October would most likely be banned in this banwave.
