I'm starting to feel this is an accurate assessment of what is actually going on. It seems like ppl safely make it to 110 leveling and then about a days worth of farming will get you banned. They could look at total nodes farmed, nodes per hour since creation, or even detect flaws in GB2 like "unsuccessful gather attempts while in combat."

lol I always love reading these... you realize BBB isnt a government agency, its a private corp that charges businesses to have their logo on it, therefor unless mass fraud is involved, BBB will ALWAYS back a company over anybody else, the company pays their bills.. they would rather have a nobody pissed off, then lose the business.

Seems to me like they are simply reading what programs are running on a computer, what the titles of windows are, and banning that way.

      "but they cant do that"
Says who? who's going to catch them? and if you did somehow, you broke the law by REing their software, which then makes any evidence inadmissible (unless im wrong about this but i dont think i am) and even if they did get caught, you agreed to it in their ToS so unless somebody like microsoft (who has done it before) or the government steps in and says "hey stop that right now" they wont.

Seems to me like thats the path of least resistance, if i could get wow running in sandboxie i could test it out, but im not a tech guy. People have stopped programs within the sandboxed envireonment from being able to read memory outside of the sandbox, or access window titles, so would be interesting to see if an account survived the next wave, unfortunately right now sandboxie has issues running wow.

Blizzard apparently found a way to detect the use of a bot on your account and no VPN or proxy will not be saved. While the bot team will not know the way to use the bot detection Blizzard is suicide in 100% of cases

Here we go again... To me the risks are worth it. I have fun while the account lasts. I am pretty much running on rolling banned accounts now. If this one is banned in 6 months from now the last one that I had from the 18 month ban will be back up. As well as this one that just got banned. It's cat and mouse and for some reason I love it. Even when I get hit I'm like fuck it...lets do it again.

Apoc gave them the code to HB, i thought HB3 was a complete rewrite because of that, but apparently not and HB3 release hasnt slowed bans down at all.

That said, its much simpler to read window titles and memory processes, like they state they will be doing in the ToS EULA and simply word match, then attempt to constantly catch botters.

Occams Razor, the simplist answer, the simplest way to solve the problem. also explains how people are getting banned on accounts they are not attached to. simply having honorbuddy in a browser title, or on a window, would = ban

It seems this comment sparked a conflict between routine users and gold farmers or maybe it didn't and it was bound to happen anyway. I didn't say I minded getting banned or anything, but people saying that routine users blame people that exploit the whole market makes sense to me. If there is no way to differentiate the 2 products and devs do not understand that a big userbase wants that and just that to get less attention compared to the ones making it pretty obvious, then i am just talking to a wall. I said I botted like 10 hrs in total on my second license, if this isnt safe botting, then i dont know what it is.I pretty much followed the guidelines of not getting found out, which I know by myself already. Especially when ive never been called out. I do not have an unfair advantage over casual peeps when I am helping my guild with a routine (i dont, i play legit on my main), but you get the point, I do not attract unnecesarry attention. It is just the bot getting detected thus the mechanism of defense being poor. So if it is so easy to get detected, its better to stick to being a farming bot for people to make money and just have singular for that reason. I am not bashing, it is just the way it is.

I think blizzard is hurting from the loss in court and want Bossland customers to suffer so they stop buying from bossland and lose confidence in the product. Also blizz may not like that a bot for a brand new game came online so soon after it was released which may hinder the uptake of the game.

I get that some people arent complaining but merely making suggestions and im pretty sure its not falling on deaf ears.
Bossland cant help that Blizzard made a huge stand against the bot, this happens. The buddy team are not arrogant, why when its their business would they want the user base to be unhappy?
They are working on fixes and will provide updates when theyve done so, they wont post all the time and shouldnt be expected to post about how theyve done it or what theyve fixed (blizzard reads these forums we can safely assume).
There is no way in hell that any of them sit on their arse doing nothing and ignoring things...

Maybe yeah the bot is not as reliable as it was but its barely been over a week since the ban wave and detection. People need to relax and realise we cant use the bot like it was atm, just wait and be optimistic.
Its not like there wont ever be another update for the bot.
In the meantime people should provide useful data, theres a reason programs create logs. A detailed description would be nice to see about any bans, from this data a pattern can be shown and might help pin point whats going wrong faster, simply posting how many u lost, the dates and ban length does not help.

      p.s.
I have no idea what some of you are doing getting banned so fast... my gold farmers i expect to last 2 weeks and they do, all i got was suspensions in the last banwave. running a lot atm and theyve been going for 7 days? so wht the hell are u doing.

has 0 to do with that. blizzard makes more money in a week than bossland will likely turn over in its lifetime. dont think theyre even remotely close to that petty. may somehow seem logical to a young persons eyes but a grown ass man calling shots for a company that size wouldnt strategize or make moves over being "salty" lol.

course ignoring all that for a minute - invalidated by the fact that every single known bot has been hit simultaneously and standalone. most several times.

nobody else has a court case w/ blizzard so whats the excuse there?

theyre purely trying to clean up the game. To be completely honest, i wish they'd done this from the rip. That being said - they didnt and now 12 years into the game they want to shake things up as if ppl give a shit? smh.

good thing im slated for pantheon closed beta, cant come soon enough.

I do take your point about them not targeting HB specifically.

took them 12 years with wow but they wont let it happen with the newer games though that is why they are acting fast. I hated bots when I started playing wow and every BG I joined there was always lots of them causing my team to loose so I gave up BG all together because of them. I mean look at IOC/AV on horde side was always a bot fest.

I do however love CR bots as it allows me to try and test different classes and experiment with the content eventhough I dont have full knowledge about the class yet.

IMO they coming down on gold selling or anything to do with botting in legion (other than leveling). I have yet to have a non-legion gold farming ban since banwave. 0/5
