yes I did. But only 6 months suspensions. My bots lasted 8 days and they made around 100€ each and cost 35€ each. so around 65€ profit per bot. all 6 bots made a profit of 390€ in 8 days. So even with frequent bans its still paying off for me. I am starting another 6-10 bots tonight.
Sent you a PM. But they wont protect you against banwaves like these. Regarding my bots, I am just glad that my bank accounts survived this time so I lost almost no gold. I still have 9 million gold locked up from the previous banwave, which sucks.
Yeah, if blizz gave us at least 4-5 days, but judging of this epic ban fiesta they might even won't survive 24 hours mark
Still selling to private buyers as well? I don't want to take the risk of getting banned with a stock now. Just selling all the gold right after I sold everything in the night.
I dont sell small quantities to chinese only big ones. But with private buyers I sell small stocks as well if they can do guildbank or auction house method, because i dont think that increases the chance of AOE ban.
Doc, a question about your numbers: Do you somehow include your time spent (something tells me it's a little more than a couple hours a days to handle those bots, to find and spam for private buyers, to make new routes...) in your numbers? Because, thinking about your current standing ,where you have had plenty of luck till now ( only being banned in the Bananawaves, not suffering any bans in between like other gatherers, not getting IP rekt, which you would if you keep selling gold) , taking into account time spent, energy cost, PC cost ( if applicable) and your own time value, 65 € per account sounds like too little return, very unsatisfying to my mind. Of course, personal situation come into consideration here. If you live in an eastern-Europe country costs are decreased, and also your time value should. If you live on your parents house, and feed on their electric bills, also lowers the "cost". Just wondering if you have taken this into account. Because, so far, your 100€-35€ calculation seems to not include anything other than the account cost to me.
Yes that is correct. The time spent is minimal. for 6 bots its like 1.5 hours a day. However, when i had my first 12 bots for this project and alter 15 bots it was much more time consuming at first, until i worked out all the logistics of yielding and selling mats. So back then I spent like 3-4 hours a day, which was challenging considering i still have a full time job. My new bots took almost no effort, because i already have my method worked out. Also, keep in mind that I didnt loose the accounts but they are just suspended. Btw, I have had a bankchar banned in between the banwaves, but no actual botting chars. I live in a western country, and its still worth it for me. I guess, if there would be banwaves every week from now on, I would probably consider aborting this project. I just started 6 new bots and am setting up another 3.
Thanks for the answer. I'm surprised that finding your buyers and getting all set up with them (receiving the buyers's payment, providing the gold, etc) takes so little time for you. It took so much longer for me, even after having all the "logistics" set up.Much much longer. Might be a realm issue, some realms are just easier in that regard.
High pop servers are much less time consuming in that regard. You can sell more mats from the same char and its easier to find buyers. The good thing is, my bots are now ready to farm after 1.5 hours questing. And from then on its almost fully automatic. I also seen the prices for the herbs i am farming now have increased alot since the recent banwave, so thats also motivating. getting 50-60g per fjarn atm and i still have a lot of those stored in guild bank, which hasnt been banned.
