Banwave 22-11-2016 Discussion

I think most people are angry that they released a new test version very shortly after the first banwave this month without doing what you described first. They sold out the casual botter, in the eyes of many, and released a version aimed at gold farmers that get banned quickly anyways and don't care about their accounts. I knew the risk and lost three accounts. They were farmers and I had no attachment to them.

 

I have no evidence. It's my own subjective opinion but I don't believe they did that. My line of thinking is this.. Blizzard wants to get rid of bots. They are probably throwing a lot of money and creativity into finding ways to do this. To simplify.. my thinking is like they could have released a patch which has 3 difference devices that could get past their tripwire. Say they found two of them but didn't spot the third because it was cleverly hidden.. Or a code was cleverly written to act in an unexpected manner. Either way the entire time they are under pressure from us yelling at them on forums to hurry up and release an update as there are other bots already up and running. They think they have fixed the issue and so they release. Its war. Bot developers vs Blizzard. Each trying to stay one step ahead of the other. There are gonna be losses. But if anyone can get past blizzard I believe it's HB. But I also think Blizzards not dumb.. I expect them to find a way to detect all injection soon enough so that there are no more loopholes.

Another thought. They gave instructions on how to turn off trip wire for the gold farmers who didn't care about losing accounts.

6 weeks before the first banwave hit they hired a virus programmer/coder with experience and they took over the head guy that was doing it he wanted to be head guy if he could ban bots when ever they wanted too there was a forum post I read on the guys some where

 

honestly.. yall are all dumb af for using this program after the first massive wave what 10 days ago? I also had an account banned and removed everything and will never use it again. no matter how "strong" HB update is. yall are just wasting money at this point. every single hack out there is being detected by wow. The 15+ million $ they have dumped into the security is finally paying off. 10 years later.

 

Cause that has anything to do with anything .... .....

 

The processes HB uses to attach to WoW are clearly detectable. I would have hoped that the HB team would have a more sophisticated answer for us, and at least some more technical information, even an update to say that they still don't know what's going on.

From what I can see, Blizz will keep on mass banning, and farming money from people hoping that the last banwave was it and that they can come back to botting WoW. It's not going to be safe until the exact process of how HB is detected is known and a suitable update remedying that if possible.

If I had my accounts suspended for 6 mo.. and purchased new accounts all under the same battle.net ID, would any new accounts (not using HB) be suspended as well? (sorry if this had already been covered)

 

I call bs. Even if they hired 25 guys to work specifically on security/bots and they started the day wow went live and paid them all 60k/yr and assuming your tallying what they all cumulatively would have made up until now - still doesn't ***** 15m.

People aren't thinking when they talk about blizzards "resources" giving them the upper hand. Their employees are paid to scale just like anyone else in the IT world. Bossland isn't exactly broke either.

The bot devs simply got beat. Blizzard has more talented programmers or someone just isn't thinking outside the box enough. Has little to do with blizzards revenue. Not like they had a 100m dollar supercomputer built to hunt bots. They just have regular ole employees same as bossland.

anyidea when hb will be back up ant running to bot again

just got hb yesterday lvled a warr to 35 was afk for 5 10 min at a time not one fault but tried to logg on today and i been banded for 6 month is there any software you get use to hide hb or i have a good ip ***** but is that enough???

 

Forum account creation has nothing to do with purchase date of the bot. I've had a couple forum accounts here. Been botting with hb since this bot came out and glider died. This forum account I'm posting on doesn't reflect that.

 

What can we do to forget about the bot?

 

In all fairness its not a matter of Botting smart this time.. if it attaches its banned.

does anybody start new bots after this banwave ? if so, are they still alive ?

 

guys just stop botting. Bossland is done. and for those who got raped by the buddy store.. im sorry.. this program has become a money sink

Started fresh, lvl 106 now, just woke up. disabled tripwire and botted for 8hours. Still going, hoping for the best last levels then no more hb ever...

 

Bossland took a risk in taking on blizzard he has some balls in doing that to stand up for what he believes in... Sadly he is losing from what I get of all the reading I have done on here

 

If this was true then they have to find it first before they can fix it
