No you are not that wrong, the information from dzipal is false:

If you do a character only transfer (that actually costs $25 and not $20 as stated above) you are limited to 250k Gold

A Guild transfer (the fee is $35) allows you to transfer up to 9.99 Milllion Gold in the Guildbank (+ 250k on char if you transfer a Level 100+ char .. a Level 10 char can only transfer 300 Gold).
But beware! your Char has to be guild leader for at least 7 days with an authenticator attached as well!

No... at least that wasn't bullshit the weeks after the first Legion raids opens. I did this my self, but not to transfer the gold, but to transfers the herbs.
There was a *huge* demand on herbs for pots on realms with high-rated raid progress guilds. I even bought herbs from the auction house to sell it for twice the prize on selected realms (fjarn for like 180-200 Gol each).

 

when i started with fjarn it was 80g and i considered that good.

 

Sorry, i meant the guild transfer. You sure they didnt increase char's gold cap? As some of my buyers guaranteed me of doing that themselves with limits i wrote earlier.
The requirement u added ( of being gm and authenticator of 7 days) is correct too.

Pretty sure: Blizzard updated their Transfer FAQ recently, as they rose the transfer cap from 50000 to 250000 Gold (for chars Level 100+).

this is a bad day for us,
with the current gold price(0,5) combined with the lower herb prices, my foxflower bot only produce $5 per day, need 9-12 days to even ROI lol

 

Yeah it sucks balls. I am trying to sell to private buyers but it's a price war and you end up micromanaging the prices more than actually needed. And the prices usually fall to like 0.6 or even less, so might as well just sell bulk to chinese.

The prices with my private buyers is still alright.
I suggest working on getting returning customers, give them a cheap small deal at first and if youre convenient for them they will prefer to buy from you even if your prices are higher.

Yeah, I was selling to private buyers on g2g and got into a price war with some guy, we went as low as $5 per 100k (couldn't get lower, it doesn't allow you), so I got tired of that and sold 1mil gold to some chinese dude for $40.... and after PayPal fee I got like $37.5... pathetic. 1mil took like 10 days for 2 bots with these prices.
I'm just gonna make a character and spam gold selling, and then make a new character every 30 minutes. Hope I don't get caught XD

 

why not use a battlechest for that.

I can give you advice on how to find permanent customers if ya interested. If youre in it for the long run its worth to try.

My bots got a well deserved christmas break last night, to spend some time with their families.
I hope that the gold prices will recover a bit due to new non-inflated token value in january.
I am currently improving guild bank deposit so it uses C# code instead of a macro to deposit specific items.

 

I have changed completely to Starlight Rose botting.
Foxflower doesn't sell that good. But Starlight Rose gives most Blood of Sargeras, which I turn in for Leylight Shards/Arkhana. That stuff is harder to obtain and sells for more + faster.

 

Yeah makes sense. gotta test out whats the best for blood of sargeras but probably skin+herb is the best for solely blood.

 

Expanding by 3 more bots today. Blood dk as usual. gold price is quite good atm.

 

Hey was wondering how much you get from chinese now when selling? also would you still consider it profitble?

 

I get offers between 0.03 to 0.04 per 1k. Pretty weak.
