[Bot] PoolFishingBuddy - BetaTest

In Uldum (and probably elsewhere) there is a big problem with Fish School's/swarms disappearing because of phasing...
But if you try to fish at the exact same area where you spotted the school/swarm you will still get achivement, and the fish from the pool.

So was wondering if it would be possible to make the bot fish on the found position anyway (even though it disappears when you get in position ) and just make it fish the pool untill it finds something that is not found in connection with the said pool.
About half the pools I find sometimes, does this.

Seems like you switched to another profile but it was still trying to move to old hotspots. This is of course a bug and I need to look into it.

There's a forum for Honorbuddy profiles and a subforum called "Farming". I think this would be a nice location to place profiles, but seems like everyone want to keep their profiles private..

Uldum is currently very bugged if you are trying to navigate near the "Lost City of the Tol'vir" and the coast.

It should be possible to do that but on low prio. I need a way to monitor the loot..

Most likely these have been posted in this thread already but everytime it fishes a pool and goes to another it relures. Even after it just relured. Ofc there is no errors in the debug log so no reason to copy paste anything. Figured I would post. To many pages to read in order to see if this has been reported.

 

Thanks for reporting this. Seems like the check runs before the pole is equipped. Will be fixed with the next release.

 

In all honesty, if you made this bot fish in open water that would be nice.

I believe this would be a nice feature to add in. And looking over your plugin it doesn't seem it would be hard either. Rather easy. Unless your keeping that exclusive to MrFishit. I don't really know.

 

I agree with tricen, but really rather he focus in pool fishing till he has it working perfect and using waterwalking! priorities ftw xD

- Lists and variables are reseted properly now, when hitting stop/start.
- Changing the blacklist for schools is detected without stopping the bot again.

 

Thank you for whatever you did with this. Previously I had been getting an error as soon as I start it up and it would shut down immediately. Something about object reference not set to object or something. I was going to get on today and get the logs to post them and see what you thought, but I decided to download this latest version and it worked!

 

This is probably related to the Uldum Flying Coast.xml file but when running it fishes up the left side of the coast no probs. But gets stuck around 45.2, 84 to 47.9, 89 .. approx there. And just goes back and forth really fast looking for pools. Then if i restart it continues up the left side of the coast. If i start all the way to the right of the map it will fish up under those points again and just get stuck going back and forth again.

Your management of this project is great, the tools and the communication. The actual tool its self is fantastic and one that this community definitely needed. In short, thanks for your effort and your contribution here.

 

yesterday evening I mentioned that the bot does not recognize the protecteditems.xml and forcemail.xml... I had sellinggrey, white and green activated in the profile and when inventory was full it vendored everything including soulbound greens and other stuff like flasks, my bufffood and even the stuff I was fishing... it simply ignored what's in protected items and did not mail the log only says "vendoring items"...

will have an eye on it if it happens again...

Thanks for the positive feedback. So I know that the bot is used and also works for other than me. I try my best, but time is money and I do not have enough of both..

For navigation issues I need:

1. Description of problem (where is the character located; is it jumping, standing around, flying?)
2. Location of problem (press the 'My Location' button on HB).
3. A full logfile of the current session.
4. Attach two screenshots; one of your character at the problem (feel free to remove sensitive details) and one of the world map when opened at the location.
