Blackmailed by my own Guild

Well, after losing account after account (I replaced them), my newest botting account is now being blackmailed by his own guild!

They're asking me to dump a set amount of materials into the guild bank everyday "or else."

What should I do?

To my guild, I'm thinking something along the lines of YouTube - fuck

Should I just leave and play legit for a while in case they report me?

 

gquit and don't bot on that account for a couple months. They'll eventually forget about you I'd think. Though you may be boned. Did you tell them you were botting or did they just figure it out when they saw you on 24/7?

 

Ok first off video....Funny lol second off i would /gquit and then if you get mail,whispers or anything from ex guildies open ticket and tell GM there harassing you and claim defamation of character because there calling you a bot and and people don't want to play with you or some crap because of them. IDK its a idea that i just made up ;/

 

If this ever happened to me the first thing i would say is, " Fuck you ". than quit the guild, ( i don't recommend doing that).. Don't stay in a guild thats blackmailing you, it's never a good idea. Say you give into there demands whats stopping them from still reporting you? Don't second guess it, Leave the guild asap and just don't bot for awhile, I don't even recommend botting a different character on the account because saying they do report you your account might be under watch ( not saying it will happen but it could ). If players whisper you from the guild just /ignore them, if it keeps up you in fact can get there accounts banned by reporting harassment to a GM

 

quit the guild when theres like 1 or 2 people on or none. That way they won't really notice you gquit

 

Your account isn't in the guild just a character, make a new character and don't play on the other one for a while, after a couple weeks, log on, gquit and log right off. wait a few days before doing anything on that toon after that.

 

How do they know you are using a bot? And yes you can file a ticket and explain you are being blackmailed, risky but meh people/guilds who blackmail need to do be spanked.

The guild leader kept bothering me. A few times, I wasn't there to respond, and so he accused me of botting. He thought I was Chinese and farming for a living. He tried to tell me to bot less as if he knew anything. At the same time, he wanted me to put materials into the guild bank. After putting in about 10 stacks of materials, I never did it again. Now, the guild wants more. I specifically told the guild leader when I joined the guild that I didn't want to be bothered. Then, when he caught me botting, I specifically told him to not tell anyone that I was a botter. Now, every time I check the toon, it has several whispers from guildmates asking for free materials.

 

tough call but i would snapshot any blackmail material and file a ticket, but that's just me this way i would be on the offensive rather then defensive.

Good point. When people beg me for free materials, I should just tell their lazy asses (oh, the irony) to bot it themselves. I don't put my account at risk for their gains.

Then again, this might kill my server's prices real fast.

 

I'm sorry but that is to funny.. Guildys just askin for stuff like your a vending machine.. lolz

 

why do you join a real guild with your bots? I could understand if you are leveling but other than that? that perk where you get more ore/herbs? that's not even worth it because your guildies will notice that you are on everyday farming.

keeping your farming bots as low profile as possible is best

 

Bitch whispered me every single day to join his guild. Whenever I didn't respond, he'd ask "Are you there??? hello!"

 

My guild have 25 toons in it, all mine. Its kinda lonely, but when I ask a question I always get a cool answer. Also none of them bothers me because I bot.

Same here tony I donate to mine though to provide mats and stuff for raiding. Not all my shit but whatever wont make me fuck up the economy on my server . Most of my guild compromises of people I know in real life though.

did you read the recomendations posts before start boting?
the "never go ito a guild with your bot chars" line... its fine with me, one of my bots got kicked from his guild cause all the server where flaming the guild (1st of the server) telling them that they got all the stuff cause they all are botters xD... so i made a guild and put all the bots of me and my friends on it... np at all, not a single whisper when i bot or even a flame.. we even got 1st server gathering archievements xDDDD

 

transfer server lol. that's all really sort of awesome hahaha. funny.
