hello my fellow botters it's your friendly botter Gav here again I know it's been a hard couple days without hb I want you to know I know what you're going through don't worry your time will be refunded on your key. This patch was very huge and the team just want to make sure you're safe as possible out there so until the release be happy my friends until next time. Love ❤️ Gav
Sorry but this patch wasn't any larger than an XPAC and HB came back in less than a week. This is being going on far too long. It is one of two things, either they are being very careful with this release and they are short on developers, or ... they are getting ready to close shop. I do understand that if there is no update, then there is no update. However, for loyal customers who have been here for a very long time, had our lifetime keys "revoked" and even renewed the subscription, we deserve more than a "be patient" post 3 days apart.
My Guess: Some important developer where shut down by blizzard. They are not allowed to touch their games again, or a similar lawsuit against them privatly will come up. I think your guess with the "short on developer" is the thing.
All of these assumptions are false hb is the same, they have more than enough staff also they are being careful with this patch. I assure you they are not closing shop a release will be out very soon.
We have the same amount of developers working on Honorbuddy as we had back in 2012. Nothing has changed at all. As I've said several times already in the announcement posts, the security is what we're concerned with in this patch. Nothing more, nothing less. If we weren't taking security precautions, then the bot could've easily been up within several hours each patch. Not only that, if you haven't noticed there has been nine patches since the original 7.2 patch. There's not even that many patches after an expansion pack release. Blizzard rushed 7.2 which the result of them doing so was a broken game that they've been working all week to patch, and that we've been working all week to update around.
2 Things: First, from my viewpoint, in 2012 HB was not as big an complicated as it is now. So shouldnt there be more Devs? Furthermore, in 2012, for example DungeonBuddy was working with current content. So something is clearly different. Also not the amount of Devs is important, how capable they are is more important. Second, I hope this time you dont fail to find the security vectors. HB clearly failed the last times, as one was able to see with the banwaves. I dont really care though, I wont buy new Keys ever again after the lifetime disaster. Just my 2 cent. Good luck to all of you guys!
I wouldn't say it's anymore 'complicated' than before. There hasn't been any huge changes to complicate it. If anything, it seems to have gotten more simplified over time since we've found ways to do things better and faster. DungeonBuddy has only ever had one developer, and that was Highvoltz. He still works on it and tests it on a daily basis. Often, we'll help him out when he needs help since we have plenty of developer resources. You have to consider that I'm rewriting 1-100 questing just in my downtime when there's nothing else to do. I'm not even doing it as my job, I'm just doing it because I want to. Like I said, we have plenty of developer resources. If we didn't, the 1-100 rewrite wouldn't be possible. You may have seen a lack of support for DungeonBuddy because when HB3 released every-single dungeon script had to be completely rewrote from scratch. The new navigation system in HB3 didnt support them any of them. So he redesigned the entire system from the ground up. Stuff like this is going on in the background, and most of the time - you guys never hear about it because we try to keep it as streamlined as possible. There has also been Legion scripts in there since the first month of Legion release. You just had to un-comment them before they activated because Highvoltz wasn't confident that they were AFKable enough. Nothing has changed here aside from the extra "uncomment" step depsite the entire system for DungeonBuddy being rewrote. Thanks! :3
Actually my original account was discontinued due to technical difficulties but don't hate me for that I'm only half human half robot we are bound to make mistakes in this life since then I'm a new cyborg. I just want you to know I have many years in botting and I'm well versed in the robulation factors.
Thanks for the clear words! When you were talking about "we" as the HB Team, I assumend you are part of the "HB Core Team". So you are actually a "volunteer" Dev of HB. I see this different, when people code something for HB, than coding HB itself. I think Raphus and Hawker were core devs. Hawker was shut down by blizzard. Raphus, I actually dont know. There was also the US guy who got visited by Blizzard and was also shut down. I was talking about them actually. I mean if someone was on the core for a lot of time, he knows it. If he has to be replaced, another skilled guy have to take over and get into it. By "became more complicated", I was more into the security stuff. Clearly warden had a lot of changes, if there were not, HB wouldnt have been detected. There was no banwave for a long time before we got hit on a interwall base. I have to say, I never expected such a good answer from your end, since my post was also a bit harsh. When Kick was here back in the days, Devs had a lot of communication like this. Sadly it disapeared totaly, specially from Bosslands side :S
My word of advice to the dev team would be to simply be transparent in these situations. I honestly don't believe that the team owe anyone a definitive deadline or a running commentary on the progress; that being said I would rather take a 'it will be done when it's done, but we don't know exactly when that will be' statement over promises that it will be delivered at a particular time, only to be let down. Just stick to your guns, don't feel the need to have to explain or apologise. It's the nature of the beast and anyone that compares it to a regular commercial service needs to give their head a wobble.
Hello again my friends as you all know the team released a suicide version this is for people who is willing to take the risk by disabling trip wire for the rest of our fellow brothers and sister just give the team approx one week more to make sure you're safe as possible I know its asking alot but please find it in your heart to support them on their quest to find the detection vectors. Be safe out there until next time. Love Gav
