Currently I buy Boe's (Blues/Epics) from AH and the occasional PVP piece here and there when i get enough honor.
PvP is pretty much dead on my servers for horde players, so i stick with BoE from the Ah and if i'm lucky with some Archy Epics i get while leveling 60-85 with ArchyBuddy.
You level with Arch. Buddy from level 60-70? Like with just the reg. 150% flying mount? Do you still level up pretty fast? I heard that leveling 80-85 is really fast but I always thought that was just because of the 280% or 310% epic fling mounts. Thanks in advance, -HoHv2
I use boe blues from ah and crafted pvp gear. Dont ninja nodes and you wont have to worry about anyone noticing you crap gear cause sooo many ppl have it.
339 blue PVP gear + crafted rings, neck, and crappy trinks usually is more than enough to fight mobs....
I am about the same on PVP gear and a few AH or crafted blues. I have even gone as far as using the new dungeons iLvl 353 stuff (make it look more normal), when I find that some moron AH them for a few hundred gold. MEDIC
I am on a pvp server. So I use BGBot first, deck my toons in fully gemmed and enchanted pvp gear, then use them to farm. Doing anything else just ends in cyclical deaths.
My Charakters only Mine+Herb so they dont realy need equipment. Also its not interesting, my mage is 357 PVP geared and he is also a perfekt farmer
I use the items that I've collected via quests (bot ofc) and since the horde got a new nice hinterlands quest post it's just been very nice..
you can get full 371/359 pvp gear from about 12 hours of farming on a pvp weekend on my server, so that's what route I usually go. Botting with BG bot and honor plugin and you'll be geared in no time.
i actually like hand playing my chars that i use for personal use...i bot them to 85, then i gear on my own....and the bond between u and the character starts to grow....botting to 85 and getting all gear botted....it doent make u FEEL like the char is yours almost....so thats how i gear my guys....if it a bott char....i wont care enough to gear except ah and at most gear pvp gear (if) when AV has call to arms.
i just do a few dungeons on my chars, to gear them up. Buy a few BoE epics and i'll be ready for ZA/ZG dungeons - few of those and i'm set.
No one else cares about your gear unless you are in a dungeon or pvp'ing with someone. If all you're doing is farming, I personally couldn't give 2 shits about what someone else is wearing.
Disagree as i find it completely bull**** to believe that some dude is wearing 272 gear at level 85 or WOTLK epic gear at that current level. That just calls you out as a botter World of Warcraft is known for it's infinity of Welfare Epics/blues and therefore it's too obvious with no gear upgrading, that you are a bot
I think that is overly paranoid to be honest...a lot of ppl worry so much about what makes you look like a botter that it makes you try too hard in some cases. Honestly, I don't go around inspecting people farming. Do you? I think a very tiny percentage of ppl even inspect you randomly out in the world. The only times I have been motivated to pay attention to anyone's gear is if I'm raiding/grouping/pvping . Even before HB, I had a character for farming and I didn't gear him at all. The only ppl I feel actually care about farming gear that badly are ppl who are overly thinking about what other ppl will think about their bots. I approach it from a practical standpoint...sure gear him up enough to survive, but whether you are a bot or real person with a farming char, why bother overly gearing him? Non-botters have farming chars too.
Aye, but when looking at how the game is these days even farming chars are geared. Ofc you dont have to, but it's too easy to see who bots, just by looking at HP
