Bots down! New patch jusy updated my wow client. I never realized how lazy I was until I had to farm my own stuff -_- Keep an eye out for the official update thread
shoulda turned off updating your wow client untill there is a 100% full version coming out like i did. that way if there is a small update and its on a version of wow/hb that works it dosnt stop working.

Ok, I just learned this from the last hot patch, if you are using the blizzard launcher TURN OFF GAME AUTO UPDATE. This will prevent WoW from being auto-updated. The caveat here being once the hot patch hits, YOU CAN NOT LOG IN FROM BLIZZARD LAUNCHER. Instead, in your HB folder you will see an executable called Honorbuddy.Launcher.exe. USE THIS TO LAUNCH HB and WoW! This will bring up the login screen that you see when you DC/timeout. Put in your Blizzard Email and Password, you may have to get an auth key from your mobile app if you have it, and then BAM! you are in. Happy Botting on HotPatch Day! (FYI, i just logged in 2 minutes ago doing this, so yes, it works).
The luncher says as soon as i close the game the game will be updated. i just did it and it worked nicely done.
How do you get past the realm list incompatibility? I can login just fine but at realm selection everything is red saying Incompatible and when I click on my realm it boots me back to the login screen with an error.
Yes but once I patch WoW, HB won't work anymore. Isn't the idea to not patch WoW until HB is patched? I have some instances running just fine right now because they haven't logged out.
If you are logged in, I say keep it going. If you haven't configured the battle.net client to not auto-update then I bet patch data has been download and you are outta-luck for now. I'm not sure about the realm incompatibility error, I haven't ran into that before, and I am new-ish to botting, and this is the first WoW patch I haven't been locked out of. I saw with the hot-patch last week to do as I described above and that it would work, and it did for me. Pretty much I've stopped using the battle.net client to log in all-together and just use the honorbuddy launcher. I'll see if I can get some screenshots of exactly what I do to log in, and the process that I run. But if you can't log in right now, you're out of luck, but hopefully you can configured for the next hot-patch. I know the HB Devs are working as hard as they can to get it back up and going, and they are good about crediting the down time back for these patches and downtimes. Reverse engineering like they do isn't an easy thing, so the turn around times they have are actually VERY good for what they are doing. If they were writing a bot for a game they wrote themselves, it would be an easy task, but since they are writing all their hooks into a system they have no control over, nor easy access to the repository and changelog of the code, they do a phenomenal job with the product. But when I'm back at my computer again in the morning, I'll try to get some screenshots for the next hotpatch, so hopefully next time you can be good to go and keep on botting.
