I received a 6 month suspension for cheating and player reports. I was doing WQ's and some random BG's here and there. I do not farm or gather just regular game play WQ/Raid/Questing. I did AFK in the BG a few times. My name is Krixxoh and I revived your appeal request today in regards to a WoW suspension. Now an additional review of the action has been completed here. We have confirmed our initial findings of automation being used, and the action will not be reversed or changed. We understand that you may still have concerns regarding the action, but we must reiterate that it was taken to address a violation of the Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (https://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/legal/), which all players accept before logging into the game.
When are you idiots going to learn that botting bg's are bad use your head or continue to loose accounts.
And how do you explain a botter that had NEVER used HB in BGs, Raiding, PVP, ETC, and only used the bot for questing and periotic mat grinding, yet got banned! Never more than a couple hours at a time and always monitored (and just as many of this type have been banned too).! Some of the truth might simply be that things happen that alert a GM (maybe being turned in or some other thing or like I think happened to me once. I happen to be out farming for cloth in Icecrown on my druid. There was a priest toon out there trying to farm too but I was out doing them. At that time, I hadn't botted for weeks, but I guess they turned me in because I was out doing them. 20 min. into farming I was sent a msg that they looked at my log file and had seen I had used a bot. Because of that, I got a 3 month suspension, even though I wasn't botting at the time and hadn't for at least 4 weeks. ) and it had nothing to do with if the individual was doing bgs or pvping. The other truth however, from my witnessing is that indeed, I've seen my share of botters in bgs and as often as not, it's easy to tell if it's a bot. Tank toons especially. I get a laugh every time I see a tank bot get hung up on something and others in the group are yelling at the tank to move! And when the bot just randomly pulls everything that doesn't really need to be pulled. It's hilarious! Especially seeing the typed text from those that don't realize it's a bot. Botting in general, is an at your own risk endeavor. Unless you've been a GM for Activision/Blizzard WoW and have turned rogue on em and are here in these forums with factual knowledge about what they do or look for, then everything is speculation. Remember! they don't have to give a reason at all for why they ban and if they do! It isn't the total truth anyway. Blizzard policy has always been you can be banned forany reason or no reason at all. With that sort of policy, even people that had never botted, have been banned for silly things. I know of one just recently that got a temp ban for whispering another with words that basically was trying to call the person out to a place to meet in RL so they could fight or something. Blizz took a nasty turn on em and though I don't know how long the ban was I do know they got banned (his wife also plays wow and told the guild members about it).
First off Bg botting has always and will always be a major target sopeople that continue to do it are asking for a bann. second for awhile there was a target on gatherbuddies back either from blizz or other botters doing player reports to get all the farmers out of the game hb has always been detected but now blizz is just milking them to get more money from you and hb more money from you as well. Not one singler person will ever tell you the truth but on a honest note its almost exactly 6 months since the last wave if i were you id start moving mains that you botted on off to a non botted account to protect them. I did this just last night if you botted smart then your gold intake would offset the cost to transfer alts off.
Not going to get into a debate about something that there are few true facts about. And there are no statistical facts to say one way of botting is worse than another. Like I said, since 2011 I've seen people get banned for all sorts of different botting reasons and some that never botted getting banned. Yes Bgs is one way to get caught, but so is running a bot for 24hrs a day , so is selling too much on the Ah and the list goes on. And while I also agree, that some ways of botting are easier to spot than others, it's too far out on a limb to claim this is the number one way to get caught. As far as moving my toons. No need, haven't botted since the last ban wave in Feb. Don't have HB on my computer at all either. WHY! Because while I can't prove anything, I have my suspicions, that when they took away life time membership, they (hb/Bossland) also shut off the anti detection software on their server, which of course, gave Blizz carte' blanc to catch people that had botted for years, but had never been caught to get caught. It could also have something to do maybe with a deal HB owners lawyers made with Blizz lawyers in a settlement of the ongoing law suit HB was in. In any case, until I know the truth, HB won't be on my computer again. Back when I got life time, I also had to pay for flying in HB. Something most people of recent years never had to do. I was using Glider until they went down and never got banned. I used HB until February of this year and had never been banned. Suspended a few times for suspicion but never banned. As far as I'm concerned, something isn't right in the lands of oz. And the grand wizard of HB is behind it all. Played dirty indeed. But alas! tis the way of the world these days.
Yeah what a bunch of crap indeed! And what they did was! But then again, you offer nothing to prove anything either. As is my comment, any comment you or anyone could make contrary to my speculation, would be nothing less than speculation too. As such, your "What a bunch of crap..." comment is even less than speculation. What I typed could have happened, and maybe did, but we'll never know. What we do know, is HB stole from people by offering a lifetime HB and taking their money and some just a day before they knew they were going to do away with it (maybe not a great decision to offer a lifetime, but one they should have honored and didn't) and took it away. Within that same week or so, many HB users got hit hard in the ban of Feb. And many of them, had never been banned or suspended before. Some had botted using HB for 4 to 6 years having always missed the many ban waves of Blizzard before. Coincidence! Perhaps! but no proof of it being that either. So agreed! Anyway one looks at it, it indeed is, was and will always be a "bunch of crap".
Not sure why you would tell people this. Let the greedy/stupid burn. They ruin it for everyone. Having said that, they're probably still too stupid to process that, so I'll withdraw my criticism. Further, more money for us when you "see 30/30 banned" spammed in these very forums, along with a message stating they are 'done botting'. Consider this, HB and Blizzard are both business's. Typically, business's make decisions based on profit maximisation. Do you honestly believe either company is fighting the good fight for their consumer base?
