Okay so the last time I used this bot was last year, and things have apparently changed since then. Back then it was easy to get it started. All you did was download a profile and tell it to go. When they introduced questing I thought they removed the need for mesh files, not sure about that but I don't remember using them towards the end of my time using the bot. Anyways here's my problem. I downloaded the Amplify CC and configured it. I downloaded the questing profile called Alen521 68-80. I start it and it goes through everything then says "[12:39:37 PM:833] Activity: Loading Tile/s [12:39:38 PM:50] Activity: Downloading Mesh..." Over and over and over and over again, doing nothing. Wtf? Please help. I'm getting frustrated. Right now I COULD be playing WoW and leveling my character, or I could be using the bot. Im doing neither right now because of the fact that the bot isn't working properly. I'm spending time on something that's supposed to save me time. Funny. I couldn't find the log file with that specific error in it. There's only three and idk how to make it generate another one.
So the new version does NOT work? WTF??? Should I just download an older version or what? I had no idea that the bot didn't work anymore. Dangit.
All log files are in ..HonorBuddy/Logs folder. As so many have been told time and time again. It can sometimes take up to 5 mins to download the mesh files that the bot need to run in the area you are in. The bot works fine for some and no so much for others. Yeh I personally can't see any issues in the log. Just looks like it's downloading the mesh and you're getting impatient and stopping it every time .
Okay so I just need to wait for it? It never used to do that, so I saw it as an error. Sorry! Also, will it do that every time I start it or no?
Onve it's downloaded all the meshes it needs, it shouldn't need to download them again ever unless they are updated/improved.
This is correct to a point. If you haven't Botted in an area it will down the meshes for that area as needed. Once all are downloaded it will not download them again unless they are updated or you delete them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
As MrWizard516 said; meshes are downloaded on-demand, and saved on your local disk to avoid re-downloading them more often than they need to be. Honorbuddy will automatically re-download any updated/changed mesh files from the server. As its your first time running the bot; you'll inevitably see it taking quite a while as it downloads meshes. Rest assured; this will only happen once (per continent). Closing this thread as it's not actually a "problem" with the bot. If you have reasons for it to stay open, just send me a PM about why, and I'll re-open it.
