I can't seem to find this thread so I can set a watch on it to know when I can play again.

What am I missing? Can someone point me in the right direction? Since the game has been playable for a while now, I'm sure the thread must exist... right?...

Strange, we're live with 7.3 on US servers already. Severs went down at 7am PST and have been back up and working for hours now.

This is how it always is, US then EU. There is no point to this post as there is literally nothing you can do. If there is a status update it will be pinned or a stickied. You just have to wait, it will take them exactly as long as it takes them to push a test release. You joined in 2014, this surely can't be your first rodeo with this.

Actually it is my first rodeo on this. I was a pretty casual user, never hardcore so I didn't fuss or even notice updates. Currently, I'm leveling up a few toons and doing some things so was just trying to understand how to set myself up for status updates.

From the sound of your reply, it's going to be many days of downtime, is that what you're suggesting?

To be honest there is no pattern of when it will be released. Sometime tiny patches take several days, others is a few hours. If I had to take a guess I'd say it will be a 24-72 hours.

      Hey,

Since Bossland seems to be located in Europe, they should get the maintenance on EU hours.
Update usually take approx 24 - 72h, but this one will probably be more complicated, and way longuer.

WoW has be updated with some new anti-cheat measure, including some things to make bot-developper's life harder.
I guess it has something to do with the end of Windows XP support, and so, new anti cheat possibilities.

Bossland answer, about the update, will always be: "it will take as long as it take, no ETA".
My opinion, probably more than one week.
Would bet on two if things arer going well, maybe three if things goes wrong..

You may rather want to prepared for 1 week as Blizzard introduced a new obfuscation system so core devs need more time to reconstruct.

don't let your panties get in a bunch....update as stated will take no less than a week....So we have as a minimum 5 days to go....please note MINIMUM....these things could take longer...rarely shorter...

      Ask yourself.....which do I prefer.....safer or quicker....that's never to say it's ever 100% safe....

And we are all waiting on it....it's not just you...so I say that to say we are all having to be patient...

Guys, chill out! I know it really sucks not being able to use HB, but they are busy working on it, and ensuring it's as safe as it can possibly be. This requires countless amounts of trial and error, as they must test any possible public releases to ensure that there are no problems with the bot. As a programmer myself, I can tell you that they have a lot of things to check up on before they ship anything out, and here's just some examples of what they'll need to do:

      -Security Measures (Account safety)
-New [and/or changed] Offsets, as well as Tiles, Models, Meshes, actor & item IDs (These all constantly change, and can be a major hassle to have to change up to THOUSANDS of lines of code!)
-Hand-testing every single variation of coding while running debugging and/or diagnostics.
*This is one reason why the releases have long strings of numbers with their version (Such as HB 3.0.1137 Beta for the previous patch, instead of "HB 3.0.1", etc).
-Much, much more. You should get the gist of it.

Also, let's keep in mind that they decided to implement a new anti-cheat system, possibly including, but certainly not limited to things such as "in-game spyware", where they can watch you playing the game at any time. There was also a full server reset on Thursday, and they added something else after "maintenance" in an update. It was a small file, but, it would not allow you to play the game until it was 100% downloaded. No background download option, either. All I'm saying is, they have their hands full, and tied, as even if they did the content/patch update, no one knows how this new anti-cheat system is going to work, or how long it may "wait" to ban anyone who is cheating or botting.

Let's not forget as well that Blizz has ALWAYS been FAMOUS for not immediately banning cheaters, as then we would all immediately know it wasn't safe yet. They literally just LOVE waiting until mass accounts & IPs are already "Flagged" to be banned, and when they feel like they caught enough fish in their net, they will start with banning accounts in HUGE waves, that were already previously marked, and the people currently using them.

That's the scariest part, and why it's going to take a while. Would you rather lose everything to get the bot released possibly a day or two earlier? You may be thinking it's worth it; but you know that it is not (at least typically).

Hope you guys enjoyed the educational and overly opinionated book I just wrote. Hey, at least by the time you're done reading this, 10-20 minutes will have probably passed! If we're patient and don't worry about it too much, the time will just fly by. =)

P.S. - Now is a great time to get on your characters, and just participate in-game as anyone would normally do. Even if you just get on and have fun chatting, or trolling, it will lower suspicion of you being a botter! Do some quests, anything will do! Trust me on this, even if worst comes to worst and you get banned, you can have it reviewed (Appealed), and if they see YOU playing more, there is a MUCH better chance that you will become "un-banned". Stay safe out there, and always play it smart. ^_^

Your usage of dots makes your post really annoying to read, who taught you to write like that? Jeez man.
