Oh. So it supports all BG's then? I see. This is amazing. Thankyou for this amazing piece of information. How could I ever have missed that... <3
I have been running AB with my shammy using shamwow. Are we to load the standard AB profile and run the bot in pvp mode with this plugin? Just checking to make sure I am doing this right.
Yes. It works only with the PVP Bot. You should not use with the newer BG Bot which already controls movement to objectives, etc.
My resto shammy follows the pack but every time he gets into combat, rather than healing he just runs away until he's out of combat and then goes back and starts healing... Is the "Disable CC movement" option supposed to fix this? I am using the latest ShamWOW.
live4gaming, As always please provide a log file when you encounter an issue. Since that is missing, I can only assume you encountered the exact same version of this behavior that I did. In my case, HonorBuddy is now ignoring whether the character is in combat and sometimes that it is in the middle of a cast and begins navigating to the next Waypoint. This is new PVP Bot behavior and appeared a release or two ago. I am currently looking at options to work around HB and prevent that behavior. Thanks for the post, Bobby53
Any news on the update for Healing? old PVP bot is still operational as mixed mode doesn't allow the new BG bot and grind mode to be run! Love it bobby, just need it running like a king again!
Im on a boat! I've got my flippy floppys! Entered SoTA while I was watching Honorbuddy go through. This plugin rocks for keeping me with the crowed since I noticed the regular PvP bot had a fondness of running into places I would rather it not (the ally areas while I'm Horde) and getting killed a LOT. The running from combat as a few above posters have mentioned is rather annoying. It runs if there are plenty of other people around killing to keep me safe, but decides to stand and fight when its 6v1. I'll post a log when I see it do it again, along when it decides to shoot at an enemy, then never move in range once they go out. Considering it does very little damage, yet gets a TON of honor for barely contributing, I'd defiantly say its a success.
Does this support Random BGs? i.e. Random BG queue is accepted, it's EoTS. Squire turns itself off, as it isn't supported in EoTS. Next round, Random BG results in AV. Squire turns itself back on, as it supports AV. Or must I manually select only AB/AV/WSG? Another note, why does the post say: It turns off Use Experimental Path Following in HonorBuddy. Without this step it failed to jump off the cliff in WSG and EotS. if EoTS isn't supported? Thanks!
Here is a the relevant portion copy & pasted from the download post (first in this thread) I only support use with AB, AV, and WSG currently. It shuts itself off on the ones that it knows it has trouble with. If it turns itself off, then the default PVP profile for that BG is run.
Right... I know it only supports AB, AV, and WSG. So if it enters an unsupported dungeon through random, it turns off. Does it turn back on if the next random BG is one of the supported ones (this was my question)? Also, is the EoTS portion in the original post a typo, since this doesn't support EoTS (this was my second question/concern)?
It enables/disables the functionality it provides based on the current Battleground. The mention of EotS is not a typo. The reference was made relative to Experimental Path Following (an HonorBuddy option) not adequately supporting jumping off the start area with the PVP Bot.
Bobby can you releaser the Follow Only logic for us Healers. This version is not working for Healing classes other than Shamans.
^^^ It's running into problems on my non shaman healers as well. Lots of standing around and not healing people. NVM, after thinking about it for a bit, I realized a log really wouldn't help with anything seeing as its not a coding or compatibility problem. It just seems as though Squire is overtaking the CC to a point that's a bit unnecessary for most healing classes. It will rarely heal anyone but the "Leader", and that person is often not the right person to be healing.
i got the same boat. my disc priest keep stand still and never heal other instead my self. but well i got tons HKs and no one bother attack me so that good lol
ya I cant seem to get this thing to work with my resto druid, tried using all the different druid ccs and nothing. Used Ensemble resto, no dice. Can resto druids just not pvp? If you know the answer pls pm me im going nuts.
the problem here is logic for healing class. The working will be: You follow => assist leader => pull to getting stuck in combat => let the CC do work => CC override and healing still out of combat. And mostly healing class (priest/druid) CC not pull to get stuck in combat, so the bot will just spam message, running around, follow, mount/dismount etc ... and hopefully we getting stuck in combat by AoE or other attack you.
Will we see any updates for this soon? Been running it for my Shammy non stop for 2 weeks and it work like a charm with Shamwow. Movement is realistic bouncing you around from 1 party to the next and thats the best thing about this plugin. I leveled my Shammy from 20 to 70 with this plugin. only problem is when battle engages i cast a heal and then run away about 20 steps then run back and start healing again. Not that its a problem it just makes me look like a chicken shit. other then that i top the healing chart every time! An update would be great tho since there is not much in the way of PVP plugins for HB which blows big time... PVP is the way to go for leveling and get your epic gear at 60, 70, 80, and 85! Edit: BTW for those of you having problems with movement and such. i only use this on AB that map seems for work the best with Squire I have not been stuck yet on the map. I keep track of all my Whispers as well to see if i have any problems and all get is (Need Help at XXX) But most whispers i get are (Thanks for the Heals man you rock!). Have not tried this plugin with any class other then Shammy.
