So concern. Many help! (I just reached out to Tony to see if he can contact mastahg directly. Hopefully he's able to.)
Considering that it's just closing without any crash in the RB log, it could be your anti-virus. Have you added an exception/exclusion for the RB folder in your anti-virus software?
I was having the same issue randomly. RB would just close after while and I would have to go kill my session and restart RB. I haven't had a solution so please let me know what you found out.
What A/V do you use? Have you tried adding an exception/exclusion to your A/V for your RB folder as well, @ez2nv? A system restart?
This happens randomly over the course of a few weeks, but not often enough that it is an issue. So yes, I have restarted my system in between usage. I remember adding the folder to the A/V exclusion list since I've been using the same folder structure forever. I'll double check and will report back when RB comes back online. Thanks,
The reason RB is disappearing can be found found in the windows event viewer. Under application logs you will find a .net error or something similar. We need that message
I'm having the same problems too, I think its my window's defender but I can't find the logs. My RB just closes on its own often.
Just an update on my issues. I've found that it's actually nVidia Experience causing the issues. I've had other issues with nVidia Exp for other games as well so I uninstalled that and hasn't had a crashing problem since.
I'm still having the issue where it closes on its own, no errors. This is the only thing that shows up on event viewer. svchost (5156,G,98) The beta feature EseDiskFlushConsistency is enabled in ESENT due to the beta site mode settings 0x800000 Pls help, its quite annoying.
@momochan sooooo going by what I have been able to google. Your issue is different. It's a power save functionality that will kick in. causing your system to freeze which will cause RB to close. The most widely used answer is to run "Display Driver Uninstaller". This may fix your issue.
