Hey guys i wanted to ask you are you using Shamwow and HB in raid?s 5/10/25 ? Which Plugins you use with HB and ShamWoW to get it working properly? What Experience you got with it ? Is it able to handle the dmg/heal well?
Damage is really really good. healing is.....eh i posted in there that it needs to utilize chain heal more
i use it in 5mans the damages for elemental is awesome im usually on top of dps with all healing gear. healing is good but burns through mana to fast in heroics. I think the healing would be better if i spent more time configuring when to use what heal. one thing that bugs me is alot of times when i try to move it will keep turning me around trying to autoface target. I do have disable cc movement checked and using the combat/healbot no movement bot. I think it would be perfect if there was also the option to disable auto face target aswell. I see there is an update to shamwow that you can disable targeting so that might solve my auto facing issue.
Group Healing is fully configurable on the Group Healing tab of CC Configuration, so if you want a higher priority placed on it than the default you are free to change it. Please note that no action can be taken with a comment like "should use Chain Heal more..." since it has no frame of reference. Are you in a battleground? 5-man? 10-man? Which Bot are you using ( InstanceBuddy, BG Bot, Party Bot, Combat_NoMovement, etc.)? How many players were within Chain Heal hop distance of the target? If there is a specific instance where you believe a spell should be cast and it wasn't, please see the ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE] for details on how to write a useful post containing the information needed for me to assist you. There is no fully automated Raiding support in HonorBuddy at the moment (no RaidBuddy Bot for example.) However, you can successfully raid in a mode known as the Lazy Raider Setup [CLICK HERE]. This gives you full control over the movement of the character and tank selection, while the Bot and CC will take care of spell casting whether you are setup as DPS or as a Healer. This is the only setup for raiding that I support, but there are a number of other configurations available that accomplish the same thing (see Nightskine's post regarding an alternative setup [CLICK HERE].) Whichever setup you choose, I suggest you start with a 5-man instance in this mode first so you can verify your setup before entering a raid. After using if you have any questions or constructive criticism, be sure to read the ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE] before posting. It provides the steps to follow in providing the information in a post that is needed for me to assist you. Good luck with your Shaman, Bobby53
Bobby I was wondering if it would be possible to make use of healing rain configurable in the settings. I for one like to use it rather than chain heal when I have 2-3 mel?e including tank. I find that using HR then spamming LB until more healing is needed is very mana efficient and it works very good to keep heals going when needed. I recently tested this theory in a BOT trash run where we had 3 resto shammy including myself and it worked perfect. We all stayed topped off on mana so if needed we all had mana to use big heals when needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My main toon is a shaman which has always been enh/ele, i switched to ele/resto as nearly same gear and quicker queues but I've never healed so I used this cc to heal them and did pretty good, my guild asked me to heal a raid for them once and I topped the chart against a disc priest and believe it or not holy paly and they told me I had to go heals from now on which is not bad since I wont be benched anymore... so the cc works a treat I am a great fan and to avoid anybody flaming me again ...no I am not saying shamans are the best healers in the game cause they are not on the contrary ...what I am actually trying to say is that the cc is extraordinary
The mana issue isn't something that can just be fixed. The bot can't tell weather the damage you are taking is consistent or if its situational. ShamWoW tries to keep everyones health topped off, so if all 5 party members get hit for 50k at the same time, your shaman will blow its emergency heals (which cost a lot of mana) to get everyone up as soon as possible. Where as a real player knows that this spike damage is only going to happen every X amount of seconds/minutes so they can use Chain heal to top everyone off.
