One of the biggest issues that I have with ANY of the Nortons products is that they embed themselves so deeply into you system that they cause issues with the OS it's self. If you are running into issues with programs not running properly on a system try running as "Admin". If this doesn't fix the problem disable UAC completely.

The problem is ... It still has norton, I have suggested two (GREAT) free alternatives to the crap you are using currently, but are unwilling to uninstall it. We can not diagnose the problem, beyond uninstalling Norton. You are using a known problem, and are just shrugging it off, saying OH thats not it, but aren't actually testing our Hypothesis.

You get 60 days of free shit, what comes with every new computer.
And you have to soon buy it anyway. And soon if you don't want to buy it, you think what program you should download and where.

People are giving you, links to free and working antivirus programs, which are in most cases better than norton.

IMO 60 of free shit, is still shit.

~Good that the problem is, Solved.

I've never tried Kaspersky, but I always hear good things about it. It maybe what I try next.
