      do this /run print(GetCVar('gxApi'))
open the chatbox in wow copy paste that press enter.
If it prints D3D9 ure all good if it says D3D11 you have to open your Config.wtf file and edit this row:

      SET gxApi "D3D11"

Make sure it looks like this:
      SET gxApi "D3D9"

Hi, i don`t want to hijack your thread, but i think i have the same probleme. (Dx9 is active), and wow crashes often with "The memory could not be "written"" error.

Please be so kind and have a look at it too.

      Regards from austria.

Hi, I'm having a similar problem where my wow crashes randomly. I opened up "run" and typed in print(GetCVar('gxApi')) and got the error, "Windows cannot find print(GetCVar('gxApi'))'. Make sure you have typed the name correctly, and then try again."
In the end if I can't fix this problem, is there a bot I can run that will reconnect me after wow crashes? Thanks

you type that in WoW /run like you would type /p to talk to your party and it will pop up in ur chatbox which you are using.

Oh I didn't realize it was in-game function haha. It's set correctly, D3D9. Any idea about a bot that will throw me back into the game after a crash?

first step is to find out why it crashes

clear your wow cache and disable all addons for a start

I've also been getting A LOT of crashes recently, running latest HB, cleared my cache, disabled all addons and even re-installed wow, d3d9 is correctly set and i tried disabling all my plugins. I tried a brand new wow install, with a fresh install of HB never used before but its still crashing every 3-4 hours atleast. After that i tried using WoW repair, still no results.

Any1 know any way to fix/improve this at all? Getting kinda frustrated about it ^^ I'm temp banned at the moment anyway though, so i got a few days to fix it i guess :p
