It would be much more efficient, if bot would land on the top of Elementium Vein., or any other ore node. This way, bot would not fall down of the higher ground, and run around trying to reach the node, because it landed beside the node. I am certain this isn't so hard to implement in GB2. Actually this idea is not from me. When i used competition bot it was mining this way, and it was much more effective in gathering nodes. Just my two cents
^While it's doing this, can you also please have it emote "Hey, look at me, I'm a bot" everytime it gathers a node.
Agreed ... before i started this I noticed some players would land right on top of a node and I would think to myself "thats good aiming". Now I have to wonder if it is just good botting Even though I am very new to this, I would think if a GM was watching a toon for botting, that would be a tale-tell sign.
please try to be more constructive, ...sarcasm really isn't contributing, just clunking the thread.....ok It looks more suspicious when you see a toon that lands and falls down, and then runs into the hill(wall) for 20seconds(black list), then flies away. It would be great if this would be optional function in GB2, so you wouldn't have to be afraid of it, because you could just turn it of.
idk, I feel like seeing a toon land on top of a node 100% of the time is an obvious sign of botting. It's far too precise and perfect.
Make the profile right and it will land on the other side, and as it uses mech it should be able to fund the way up to the node.
would you be so kind and explain what exactly do i have to do in the profile to land on top of the node.
Alas, there are no user configurable options to alter Gatherbuddy/Gatherbuddy2's approach to a node. It is what it is. Gatherbuddy/2 reads the node location directly out of the WoWclient, and makes its approach accordingly. Occasionally, it will 'miss' due to control lag, phasing issues, or other problems. If the miss results in falling down a bluff, it uses the Navmesh to path back to the missed node. As everyone has witnessed, this is frequently a fail and results in the node being blacklisted. If you feel strongly about it, submit an enhancement request through Bugtracker for an option to configure the 'node approach'. cheers, chinajade
That was being constructive. I would far more fear a ban from my bot landing on top of a node every single time than the occassional fall down a cliff, which I've done playing by hand. I have yet to be able to drop out of the sky and land on top of a node playing by hand.
I did not say that you will land on top of the node, but on the other side so you don?t fall down, if your profile is coming from the south to the node, then make a profile that comes from the north west or east and the problem should be solved.
The only thing I feel is another strange thing, that I would find odd and a give away of botting is, when the toon backs up about 38 yards into npc's or whatever to then mount up and then land directly upon the node.
