30 account lost permanent ban

3)What profile were you using?: tonys uldum herb and mine

4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: default

5)What plugins are you using?: no

6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: 20

7)How many auctions per day did you have?: one a week everything i gathered round about 400-600

8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? piroxbot but only for 5 of them

9)Was your account involved in gold selling? np

10)EU or US realm? EU

For me it seems to be a gb banwave regarding the other posts in this section.

no banwave... just a few picks... else my bots wouldnt be running strong...
one of your character prolly got reported and your account got investigated.
30 character online 20 hours a day from your ip adres with 400-600 auctions each day...
thats screaming for a ban when they investigate...

Badluck boss, like what was said one account would have been investigated and then they would have taken them all down

 

I think the reason people get so miffed off is because that gb and hb been literally un-detected for so long that we become complacent and never expect a ban that when it does happen it's more of a shock than usuall, like the wow glider days when you never really knew if the ban hammer was comming.

 

i am a bit shocked, that?s true. But i do not feel really bad.

i expected a ban in a few months but not today.

the thing which is a bit annoying is that all accounts got a new gametimecard a few days ago.

not sure what i will do right now. quit wow and bot for ever and starting a real life career or start from the beginning with new farm accounts... i have to think about it and sleep some nights over it..

 

i did this also before cata. Thinking back to the days i farmed at Nagrand when BC was released and only got bans at the banwaves of glider and gb. Just really bad luck i think

 

Yeah and I would never, and i mean never wait till all at once to put everything in the AH.

 

update:

lost also 2 guildmaster accounts. these accounts were never involved in botting or trading anything.

just had guildmasters on it.

same reason as for the other 30. "abuse of the economy". got same email on all my email adresses

 

Sounds like they banned any account associated with the others...botting or not.

 

I've heard a couple reports of people getting more peripheral accounts banned as a result of other accounts.

There was even someone who reported on the official forums that they got banned for being the COD recipient of a botters materials. The person claimed that the person would COD them mass amounts of ore/herbs and he would pay 75% of the AH cost and then repost them. Claimed to not know that the mats were coming from someone who was botting.

If that's true then there may be a lot more of these false positives or peripheral bans. Blizz better be careful or they might start pissing off innocents and I guarantee you that people will stop caring about all the bots and start getting pissed about being falsely accused.

seems an Admin ( not an GM ) investigated and all the Accounts he saw on that very time online, got the banhammer. Thats how it happens, if an account was unluckily stuck and disconnected, it will not be banned.
Had that many times happen, then the whole IP is gone, also proven as the accounts that where disced that day did survive.

ahh... similar shit for me few days ago... got my auction account banned. did 30-50 auctions a day, not only lvl1, all of them have been leveled a bit... ~lvl20ish
first mail they said i traded ingame items or gold, after i swore to them i didn't... and i really didn't trade on this acc... they called it in second mail "Strafe f?r Ausnutzung der Spielmechanik" (Penalty for use of game mechanics [...google translate...])
