Very Elaborate answer ONTHERUN! lol... False. BTW KICKAZZ006, I was grinding at the time. I did quest up to level 70. Grinded up to level 74.
personally i never use grind, if a profile calls for a grind to level xx i bg or archeology it or manually dungeon it just because grinding is a very risky "IMO" way to bot, i mean killing the same things for hours on end? who does that when there are quests and bhs professions ect available...
Questing is much much safer now, if you look at the forums the last few weeks alot of bans comming from grinding. But very little from questing. It may not have been the case when you leveled toons but now it is.
apparently you dont read, IMO means in my opinion, and unless youve grinded those in the past 3 weeks then your statement has no value. As of recent blizzard has seemed to be *****ing down on long grinding profiles, im on toon #6 quested/archeology to 85, currently level 69 and the only bans ive ever received as of late is from grinding, and luckily they were temps...
I grind everyday, 2 accounts so yes i Do know what im talking about, and here's what i want you all to do, every account that gets banned i want you to break down statistically and prove your questing theory. In fact just RaF 2 new 60's no bans.
Sorry for your loss, I never grind anymore I recruit a friend my toons to level 60 ( Dungeon powerleveling with a 85 on another account, takes 2 days to get to 60), then from 60-70 I use Instance buddy, then at 70 I buy epic flying for them and use archeology buddy all the way up to 85. From 70-85 takes me about 6 days with epic flying or master if you have the extra gold. So about 14 days all together using my tactics from 1-85. I have 5 85's right now all with a Ilevel over 355, and every other class over level 60
Well as stated many times in the forums there is no such thing as a safe bot. However staying for prolonged periods on time in a specific area will no doubt increase your chances of getting reported by players. It has also been reported that they "MAY" be looking at mobs killed over time. if this is true then yes grinding would be more risky. This dosnt mean that you cannot grind 100 accounts to lvl 85 and not get caught it just increases the risk.
of course its not in every case, if it was then obviously bossland would have stopped HB sales/auth and work would have started on alternate methods, Read this post in its entirety and this is what i mean when i say grinding has an increased risk of ban imo http://www.thebuddyforum.com/all-kn...-knowledge-]-player-reports-[-lesson-i-].html
sorry for your lost, I grinded 3 of my characters to 80, i'm not thrusting grinding anymore nowadays, most of the time just taking archeology, or instancebuddy/quest
I recently received a 72Hr. ban. I mostly did questing but that day I was doing a mix of things including; bgs, IB and of course questing.. no grinding whatsoever. I usually bot 8-10 hrs a day (supervised).
Personally, I would not contemplate levelling in BG's, unless you don't mind the occasional "stutter" (or to be fair, watch your toon behave like a retarded lemming on extacy). I'm also not convinced about IB, unless you know the other toons in the run. Babysitting and conversing from time to time, I feel to be very important, whatever the levelling route you choose. @ OP - As others have stated here - grinding is a liability. We're all quite confident that HB is not detected in any way, so that leaves us without a clear picture of how/why bans happen. The other thing with grinding is that to any casual observer (or hidden GM?) if you were observed running around in circles, it's VERY easy to identify you as a bot. If they choose to investigate further and checkws your stats and see zero questing done and x kills on the same mobs over and over since you've been grinding from 70-74, it undoes the good work you did in questing from 1-70).
