I am not sure but I believe that they can still charge the money back even if they sent it as a gift. In any case I'd rather stick to moneybookers. The confirmation process might be a bit long but it pays off in the long run.

      Hi

Yeah do not use paypal i sold a couple of legit wow keys got payment all sent as gift within a day claimed the account was hacked and paypal took money back argued with them about me being legit company and where is my protection, if there account got hacked thats down to them and paypal not the seller etc but they dont care so yes use moneybookers paypal give no protection.
and yes i even contacted blizzard about the theft of keys to see if they could be blocked and nope Blizzard cant do anything either

Dont use Paypal!! for EU Useres they sit in Luxenburg as a Bank so even for Germany you have a problem if you want to dispute.

This does not matter at all. People call their creditcard company not paypal to do a chargeback and you will still lose your money.

I use paypal, and even though I sell to a chinese company, I get paid and they haven't taken them back, even though it wasn't sent as a gift. Perhaps I just got lucky and found a decent company :)
      - And yes, if you're using paypal, and you're unsure about the people buying your gold, make them send it as a gift.

It won't hold up in any court of law because you're doing something illegal yourself and it's against the terms of service. Sorry for your loss though.

I sold a website on paypal but made sure i transfered the money to my bank ASAP because i was nervous i would get scammed after.

Sure enough, they filled for a return claiming they got hacked. I told paypal to fuck off since im not giving up 2000 bucks and not getting my website/domain back. They ended up getting the collection agency on me. I never paid to this day and they eventually stopped calling.

2 years later, my credit has never been better :D.

Same story here. Was only 55 Euro tho. All they did was email about taking legal acounts to get the money back, but as from june nothing have come up.
I sold to a private person tho, got the money as a gift. Sending as a gift does not help at all.

      ONLY use moneybookers.

Also, if you log into your account and do the sale on a VPN, and they charge back for the gold couldnt you put in a gm ticket to get your gold back? im sure they recover it if it looks like youve been hacked.

In court it would still be considered an illegal transaction.

Like if you sold your prescription drugs, but they took the money back...

You will lose the lawsuit because within the limits of what you are doing, in the case of gold selling, it is against the TOS, and won't matter if it's any actual law or not.

Obviously you could do like drug dealers and just go shoot him or something... Probably not worth it :p
