Cata Burn out already? (POLL)

Hey all,

Just wondering if anybody else is already starting to feel burn out from cata?
Im going to put a poll please vote, just curious because most of my guild is starting to feel burn out.
Please explain why you feel as if you are getting burn out and how blizz could fix this. thanks.

 

I aren't really raiding at the moment just leveling toons and making gold, raid content does seem pretty bleak though.

 

Ive played since vanilla and i do understand that towards the end of each expansion it gets boring, like icc was there for FAR TO LONG ! But seriously, its only 4months into Cata and im sick of it,,, i dont know why i just dont like the raids that much at all. My server population has gone from high to low, it also makes it hard to earn gold.

 

Ive been playing since vanilla also but I take a couple month break every now and again. I like the raiding content but what I love to do is go back to the old stuff and go thru that. It's a lot more fun cuz you just wreck shit everywhere and so much fun

 

I felt the Burn Our the Second I logged in thats one reason I use bots..

 

I'm having a lot of fun still in Cataclysm. I do the rare PvE with my guild, and mostly do PvP and have fun at it. It's so much better than WotLK so far.

 

it took me a whole WHOOPING 5 weeks and i was bored new record!
I just dont like wow anymore....
My only life now is HB

 

Raiding is pretty lame, since there is a rather huge step-up between say the drag-twins and chogall on heroic.
So after manacing through the raid content right now the good weather + Lame encounters got me back to bad company 2 or botting

 

Yeah i have been doing pve and pvp but the raid content is just lame now. There is nothing fun about the game other then pvp and i let my bot do all the work so that i can reap the rewards of having good gear and actually enjoying it when i feel like it. I am done the pve for good now. If it wasnt for botting i would have quit the game back in BC.

 

hmmm very interesting.

The only reason I feel like I'm getting burn out is because the HUGE step in between Normal modes to Heroics. Not that it's stoped us from downing boss's, we have finshed everything on H mode. But just sitting there pulling your hair out because you whiped on 1%.
This is whats wrong....
A boss fight can take 15min.
It takes 15min to this reform rebuff and get ready again.
4 boss attempts can take 2 Hours... See the problem???
Most new boss's will take atleast 6 attempts on H modes.
No wonder there is PVE burn out.;

 

Well I think that's the point to it. Thy are trying to appeal to the casual gamer so the normal modes are pretty easy and can be pugged. But the hard modes are for the hardcore gamers and meant to take a couple hours for a few bosses. Like the old days when MC would take like 6+ hours to clear

Edit: and they are hard more for a reason, everyone has to be perfect or you will wipe on 1%

 

Yea, no I agree 100% hardmodes needs to be hard and take long time to kill, but i think the time inbween whipes are whats causing burn out. Even 40man raid never used to take half and hour to reset and do the next pull, we could all re group and re buff in like 5min and do another attempt.

Im quite happy with the level or skill needed for hardmode, I just get anoyed at whiping on stupid boss fights that have dumb macanics (did not spell that right) and taking half an hour to re do it. But really, 1 person dying in a 10man HM is a whipe, it really should not like that. You should have around 10sec to do somthing that will save it and make it do able. Take 25 TOC (1st) boss Hm for example, if he in raged hunters could tranc shot the boss and bam, your back on track without a whipe.

I think they need to add things like this.

 

True 25 man you should be able to loose one MAYBE 2 people and pull it off but 10 man hard more no1 can die. But yea people are just lazy and do things on their own time and that's killing it

 

Yes very true, you can lose 2 or 3 and still complete it. Our 2 guild 10man teams finshed 10man HM so we combined both teams and now doing the 25mans, much much easier!

 

I personally have never gotten to 25 man or HMs. So do 25 mans drop better gear than 10?

 

yes and that's the joke ^^ because if you loose people during the fight it isn't as worse as if you loose someone during a 10 man fight!

 

25mans dont dropper better gear, but a more peices.
The HM's drop better loot though.

Most definately NOT burned out, but I'm a casual player, and I've just recently gotten back to WoW after yet another break. So I'll be starting with the Cataclysm-content next week probably =P

 

If it wasn't for HB/GB and the developers I wouldnt even play wow....just waiting for SWTOR
