      Hi guys,

Well, the bot is the only paid number one bot that is available to buy for public. When it works, it works (great or not, i don't know), but when it doesn't...... I mean, look at the stuck issues with AB, mailing in deepholm and other problems (can't remember, because I stopped using it). These problems been there for ages.
Devs ask to post a log. Ok, but if the problem persist?

When people post things like this above, they get a negative response of being ungrateful and not thanking the devs for the things they've done. Indeed, the bot is a complex program, but if we ask the devs if this is all they can do? Why not jump above your head and fix the mold-covered problems if not making it amazing?

I'm not going against you guys, but seriously... maybe you need more testers/devs? Because the community from what I've seen is submitting logs and logs, but deepholm, AB stucks issues (uldum temple) persist.

P.S. I own piroxbots and I too testimony in favor of honorbuddy, hb is by far more sophisticated.

hb/gb has been reliable for me so to a certain extent

though this same level of efficancy can be achived with bots that are much cheaper an even with the freebie

certainly the community does not have the same feel as that other big one did way back when , the vibe here just feels off at times tbh

I know this may sound like a "say something to shut them up" reply, and I apologize if it does.

Any bugs that are a few months old (or worse; even older) are usually still there because we simply can't reproduce it. If we can't reproduce a bug, we can't even start to fix it. 95% of the time; we can reproduce a bug from the logs alone. However, the other 5% requires extra 'help' from the user, to explain what *exactly* is happening. And of those 5%, <1% of them actually explain what is happening.

I'm *more* than happy to fix bugs, and whatnot. I bot, just like everyone else here. And if the bot is acting stupid, or acting like a... well... bot... I get just as angry as you guys.

I know there's a good handful of our customers screaming "we paid for it! Why should we have to bugtest FOR you!?". To answer bluntly; because we simply cannot test every conceivable situation within WoW, where the bot may act 'funny'. Just think of how many hours you spend playing the game from 1-85, and how many more you *would* have spent, had you actually done everything there was to do. Now multiply that by a few thousand, and you have the list of scenarios where the bot has the potential to do stupid stuff. Its just not feasible for us to test every single thing. We do our best to bugtest the 'broad-spectrum' of possible bugs. But sometimes there's little things that throws a wrench in things.

Also; any bugs with AB, IB, or GB2, need to be directed to raphus specifically. He maintains those bots as a pseudo-3rd-party bot. While we do have the source, and ability to fix said issues; its best that you send bug reports to him for those specific bots, as he knows the code better than anybody else.

As I Sympathize with the OP, I have to Agree with Apoc. It is aggravating (to say the least) when the bot doesn't perform up to speed. and to see new thing come out when old bugs still aren't fixed makes for a stressful me! :-( But I continue to Remind myself that GB2, AB, and IB aren't Developed by the Core buddy staff. These are all 3rd Party bots, and take up little if any of the Core Dev teams resources.

I believe they are working hard on buddy and it will get better with time. I just wish Blizz would stop patching so much! that just takes more time from the team!

Oh yea buddy Dev team: quit stopping to eat and sleep! Alcohol and Caffeine are all thats needed to survive...a few days...

Only one man dealing with 3 bots? That explains a lot, although not really why he can't reproduce the bugs for 5 months.
Raphus must be a genius to perfect 3 bots on his own, would be great if someone helped him.

Not to downplay Raphus' work, but it's not genius level stuff. :p Hes not actually creating a bot, just a bot base. he creates the logic, and HB does the tricky stuff.
As far as Why he may not be able to reproduce bugs...
Lets just say that he needs every race/class/spec Combination. He would have to have 280 Characters to check every possible combination. And thats assuming he has Dual Spec on half of them. Now add that to every boss fight, in-game mob, world object, Arch digsite, etc... that is millions, if not Billions or more scenarios. There is no way he can reproduce without enough information from the End-User.

While it may be a pain in the ass rarely hearing from Devs, Post Logs and as much detailed info as you can about Bugs and they may get fixed quicker. ALL the detail about it you can. (CC, Plugins, race, class, etc...) Some of the info you give may seem irrelevant, and hell, maybe it is, but it also may be what solves the riddle.
