It means a couple of things: The archeology finds don't occur randomly, but at fixed points in the world. The database collects these locations, such that it can spend less time searching for the fragments and more time 'going straight to them'. The information has to be collected over a period of time, and statistically filtered for accuracy. The database keeps information about 'troublesome' find locations. Such locations require special handling. For instance, a piece may be located under an arch or some other location that gives Flightor (the flying navigator) trouble. Another example, is find locations where toons frequently wind up in the water or down the side of a hill when trying to dismount. Such find locations are marked in the database, and AB will have to alter its 'landing spot', approach the node from another side, walk, or use a ground mount to get there. There is much other information being captured in the AB database. AB makes everything 'look easy', but its doing a whole lot of work under the hood to make things as smooth as it looks. Most don't appreciate all the thousands of details involved to make this happen. The database is just one of its tools (and a primary one) to achieve the goal. cheers, chinajade
If anyone cares, the corresponding Config.wtf variable to disable "Optimize Network for Speed" is: SET disableServerNagle "0" cheers, chinajade
I think there is some kind of invisible wall between eastern and western plaguelands, my bot couldnt move between those 2 zones and was spinning around like mad.
Does this already for a very long time it buggs out over there, ive no idea whats the reason for it tho. Edit* Also in stranglethorn vale you got one where its not mounting anymore, its kinda stuck under a statue, near the bridge pretty strange.
Mailing doesn't work in Deepholm, it navigates to the mailbox (although it stops a couple times in the temple of earth and uses the unstuck feature even though it isn't stuck on anything) and eventually gets to the mailbox, but does nothing. It then flies up into the corner of the room that the mailbox is in and just sits there. Repair is also broke in Uldum, it goes to Ramkahen, mails loot, then goes over to repair and gets stuck on some stone blocks on the ground near the repair guy, the stone blocks are like 10 yards southwest of him. If I manually fly my toon up he'll go to repair then go back on his route. Another bug is while trying to pick herbs or mine ore. While flying on it's route every once in a while a node will pop up and the bot with go towards the node to pick it, but will sometimes hover over the node about 20-40 yards in the air, and try to descend but kind of jerk around very bot-looking for a few seconds and continue to hover until after 20 seconds it auto blacklists the node even though the node is right there out in the open, it didn't ever do this before this new version of GB, and it only does it every 8-15 nodes. I've attached my deepholme and uldum logs. edit: I've reverted back to the previous version of gatherbuddy2 because with the latest release that bug where the bot hovers over and tries to descend down to a node that is out in the open and obviously easy to get is making this unusable, my server is has a high population of people farming and 50% of the time while my bot is jerkingly trying to descend down, someone comes along and gets the node before my bot blacklists it, then calls me out for being a bot because of the movements my bot is making, this really needs to be fixed asap, it ended up starting to do it on all three of my bots in three different zones, deepholm, uldum, and twilight highlands.
Another bug has popped up that has been in gatherbuddy2 since it was released: Mailing filling in the 11 out of 12 mail slots with items, not mailing the items instantly like it usually does, waits about 20 seconds, then clears the items and does it over again, never mailing the last bit of items. Sometimes it also does this with bags full of items, but most of the time it will mail everything but the last few items then start this up. I have no idea what causes it but I have seen it happen all the time in Vashj'ir, Uldum, and Twilight Highlands. I have reported this problem many many times yet it has still yet to be fixed. Yet another log has been attached showing this problem. If you'd like I can make a video of this happening if you want more evidence so you can fix this annoying problem. I have had this happen for hours at a time before and wastes a ton of time.
In Vashir when targeting a unit it moves to the unit and just stands idle by it (unless unit aggros) Because of this I've noticed some odd issues like playing tag with aggro, for example auto targets aggro after it hits bot but ignore aggro until it evades and runs back then bot chases after aggro until it re-aggros, repeat a few times until it decides to fight. I've also seen it targeting a dead unit it had killed and standing idle by it. I have a few minor requests too Add an option to ignore nodes while in combat, (bot kept getting killed by drakes in twilight highlands after it flew pass a few, aggroing up to 2-3 at a time and getting killed after it landed and harvested a node) another minor request would be to add an option to ignore node if there are hostile NPCs with aggro range of node, the math for aggro range is float range = 20f + (Npc.Level - Me.Level) ; if (range <5) range = 5; maybe add a few units to the calculated range to make room for pathing NPCs. Thanks for release btw
My plugin should solve these problems: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/plugins/free/uncataloged/23537-gb2fix.html
When farming with a druid, the little extra feature built in to gatherbuddy2 where if the druid gets in combat while trying to pick a herb, it will fly up to try and drop combat then fly back down to pick the herb while the mob resets, and repeat doing this four or five times. This barely ever works, it works probably 1 out of 10 times and that is with a tauren druid (cast time for picking a herb is twice as fast as other races) So I would imagine this never works for troll, night elf, or worgen druids. It also makes the druid look extremely bottish and I have been whispered various times from people thinking I'm a bot, just from witnessing my druid fly up and down over and over above a herb then eventually dropping down to kill the mob. It barely ever works, it's a huge waste of time, and most importantly it makes my druid look so much more like a bot than it already does, can this feature pleased be removed, or at least put in an option to turn it off?
