What settings do you use for the vm? mine used to run ok on my older pc, but now that i've upgraded to 2600K overclocked to 4GHz and allowed the vm 2 cores and 2 gigs of ram it is slooooow. actually, it sort of seems to lag and then catch up. Can't turn my graphics past "fair", either. it's running win7 32 bit (it thinks it has a 5.8GHz processor and 2 gigs of ram) on win7 64bit host.
I didn't change anything. I have an i7 950 at home, stock speed (3 ghz). It works well. Make sure you install VMware tools though. There will be an update for PingBuster which allows to use multiple ports on a per .exe based (so different config files per exe of pingbuster).
You can now use multiple IP's without using a VM. See this thread for more information: https://pingbuster.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=133
Wait, so in order to get diff IP's for each WoW using pingbuster/proxifier, I have to have a different WOW folder for EACH account? youch
Do I have do anything with proxy settings on pingbuster for it to use the different ports in proxycap (for diff ip per client)? I left it blank, but set up different ports in proxycap per each wow folder. Or do I need one pingbuster open per wow client, and then go to options and change port? If so, then I would need to select different serers, but if theres only 5 then I'm SOL because theres no way i'm connecting to europe.. or does each server give me a diff IP? It looked like it had one same IP per server
Yes, you need one pingbuster running per IP with each a different server selected. But you can also run it three times and let each wow connect to it twice (so 2 wow's share the same IP) - that won't matter either way.
Hmmph, well I plan on doing this for 10 accounts and I live in US, so seems its quite limiting, should I bother? I'm doin 5 per computer, so 2 computers. I guess I could setup 2 on one wow with like chicago.. then 3 with dallas? then same on the other comp? hmmph
Is there some other proxy service I can get that will give me more than two US IP's? If I want to go to do 10 accounts, that means 5 with be on the same IP and 5 will be on the other IP... now that I've lost 10 accounts in the last week, 3 of them being 2 days old, I feel they're tracking me, and going to look into using VM + proxy.. or can I just go down to my modem and unplug it, and get a new IP? Or use some mac cloning feature I read about that will force a new IP? Trying to figure this out as I've lost atleast one account for the last 5 days But again, if a VM is like a virtual desktop then how do I get one pingbuster per VM to connect? can only connect to one server at a time per username.. unless u can proxy the VMs beforehand? and how would I get my relogger to work with that?
I went and did full clones, everytime something happens I just swap to a diff proxy and clone the previous VM and delete the previous after cloning. This has so far gotten me two accounts back twice that were "compromised." I doubt it'lll happen again because the phone guy was like its not common for an account to get hacked twice in 2 weeks.. so laying off those accounts lol I was curious, if I have a mobo that has two ethernet ports in it, is it obvious to someone if I swap from port 1 to port 2 when it comes to watching MAC address? I looked at the numbers and seemed like maybe the last 2 numbers changed in the address but I just wanted to double check.
