I was talking to a GM about how Blizzard find botters, Basically they have a "system" that tracks every single online player on WoW. It measures how long the person has played for, what level there killing and what area they are in etc. The system banned me once, I asked what i did wrong, it was that I was "grinding" on lower levels and they found this suspicious. What I find funny is that a IRL person didn't actually okay the ban! The system just does it. When i got banned I got my account almost instantly back, this is because I said i wasn't botting. Literally that was all i said, then someone had unbanned me!

      In a nutshell:

System looks at person, see's how long they've been online, see's if there grinding on lower levels. If it is for a long time. Banned. You right in letter, they apologies saying "the system sometimes gets innocent players", then you get ur account back. Boom.

That's why we use Questing Profiles. Nearly Undetected.

Interesting info. Guess I'll stay away from grinding profiles.

      Depends on what you grind.

If you are grinding area's where you get rep for a certain faction (or rep items) the chance you get caught that way is much smaller than when you grind in a area where there's no obvious gain (this applies for high level grinders ofc).

I highly doubt that it's a system that just autobans people who are farming on lower level mobs... Blizz is lazy but.. Thats just stupid.

I dont believe this one bit.

you lost me after : "I was talking to a GM about how Blizzard find botters"

Gm's normaly are not allowed to talk about stuff like this, so i doubt... without a screenie of the convo, that in your case, he did.

I strongly believe blizz has no tracking system at all. Its all players reports, and nothing more.

A player reports you, they look into your account. If your online, and you have a program like honorbuddy running in the backkground... perma ban.

If they investigate you, and your not online, they look at your logs... if they are suspicious ( gm has to recognize you as a bot ) temp ban. Appeal it.. done.

Im botting 24/7 for 4 days now, took 2 questing profiles and completed em, grinded for a day on same mobs, did nonstop bgs at night.

So basicly, what "your gm "said, is that they should see me now... played 96 hours in 4 days. Killed same mob 3500 times pre 85. Capped my honor 4 times in the bgs...

I dont believe any of it. Blizz doesnt care. If players dont report, they dont do nothing. If they find a specific string or piece of code in a players log that is suspicious, they run it.

So they can see how many have the same string or code ( if called like that ) this is how they cought the pirox ones.

Blizz is lazy, out to max the money in this dying game, not to spend it on finding bots.

There are a lot of new System Alarms for Blizzard... Grinding a long time, swapping Gold with vanilla accounts, mass AH actions, mass Mailbox action. Like i got a 72h Ban with a new Char, because i trade with a Friend 1000g because of getting some Clothes. After a Call they Unbanned it instantly. I think bliz is testing a new prevention System, thats why there are a lot of 72h bans in the past.

Well I havn't got a screenshot, but i can promise you I talked to one... They banned me for 72 hours and after I appealed I was talking to a GM, and i said "Why did Blizzard think i was a bot" and they he went on about the "System".

there is no system, its called trying to spread the word. They dont have a full case against you, or you would be perma banned. But they DO suspect your botting.

You think they dont know you will post on a forum what you seen? Its ment to be that way!

they said the same about bots in bg... 6 months ago. Sufisticated tracking system. F that.

We are theyre system, making tickets and reporting people, so they investigate those, and we feel they do sumting. But they are not, we are doing the "searching".

6 months ago one blue post spoke about a new tracking system for bots in bg. A gazillion of posts responded, and no more blue post after... ever.

( go in a isle of conquest and WATCH how many people actualy go TROUGH the portal instead of through an open door at the start and

How many people will be standing ON the enemy portal when the game is in progress, being afk. All bots, go watch and then convince me they did something with

theyre so called "sufisticated tracking systen they have been working on. Bgs still FULL with bots )

Spreading the word, trying to make people scared. They dont do nothing.

Instead of that they make real id cross realm invites possible soon. Now you know what they DO have been working on cause.. as they say :

"WE ASKED FOR IT... no we didnt, but "we" did ask to fight the bots, but thats not making you money, its losing you money, so why make it "

Deffo no new system against bots.

ok, so im locking this, there's no need to for you guys to get all flustered over something no one has any proof on, if anything its just freaking out the users who dont know as much, and are accepting it as fact when this is really all theory and there's no proof to be had.
