So yes.. We all knew this would happen. A Rift Bot.
We all looked forward to this with great fear. Is Rift going to overtake WOW?

I bought RIFT and i played the beta. But honestly, i do not think it is so much greater than wow. Ive grown a custom to wow. I like the UI of wow and the way the game is.
And I like how my bot, our bot is running. I am a Bee. We are Bees.
We have seen good times. We have seen some bad times. But nomatter what, bees stick together. We go farm for what flowers, and some of us for stones. We do not look like each other. We do not talk the same. But all in all. We are Bees! We are used to starting wow up, clicking start, and watch that character run. It is kinda stupid if you think about it. But I dont care. I like my wow. I like what I have achieved in wow with the help of my bot and without.

Why do we fear this bot? Why are we saying this is a bad idea? Some people actually plays RIFT and not wow. Some people havent played wow before and are playing RIFT.
And Bossland and the other guys are good buisness people.
Ofcourse it is sad that Tony changed his avatar on the new forum to a funny dragon thing, but the truth is:
I play wow. I Bot wow. I am a bee. bzzzzzzzz!

The sad truth is that it's a complete waste of time. RIFT will die out much faster than WoW.

LOL My brothe , 2 of my RL friends and my self have already left Rift to return to WoW. There is just not the depth to the game that there is in WoW.

As Znuffie said, making that bot was a complete waste of time. RIFT is going to die before WOW. Just f*ing look at it, jesus christ.

I have no problem with Rift, or a Rift bot. I do have concerns that HB users have and will continue to suffer due to Ryftomate. It has been a month since last update for HB...pretty sure we all know why. It has been 6 months since Cata release and HB still can't mail from Deepholme, as one example of many. Yet, somehow it has been determined that creating a new bot to draw in more paying customers is a greater priority than exhisting HB users. After all, they already have our money for HB.

why cant we have both??? nez already said the devs have not been split and the service will not decrease with HB. So i say great, bring on rift bot, in a week or two i will be botting there as well. i will bot both because i like both.

While I agree that Rift is a new title and may improve in time, it must be remembered that when WOW entered the market, it was a very new concept with little competition, it was simple and easy to use and, for its time, had lots of content to start with followed by the numerous expansions. Hell, even learning how to play your class counted as content as it was all so new. However, Rift has entered a market where there are highly increased expectations of a MMORPG. Everything will be compared to WOW as it is now, not as it first began. To beat WOW, a new game must be better than WOW instantly. Though fun to play for a while, Rift has failed to impress me as a long term competitor for WOW, failing in content and enjoyment and is by no means the new “Big Boy on the block”. Coupled with the fact that it appears that many people will be botting the hell out of it from the get go, in comparison to the gradual increase in botting over time in WOW, I can see it going downhill real fast. For a new game to steal away a large number of players from WOW, it will require a much better initial effort than Rift has put forward.

That said, Rift is a new market, however temporary it may be, and the devs should seek out new revenue streams. Make a Rift bot just don’t let HB/GB go downhill because of it. The option is always there to pull the plug on offering lifetime accounts and go with a yearly or monthly rate instead with auto billing, etc. to increase cash flow. People enjoy botting and will pay for the ability if a good product is offered. I use to pay a small fortune in monthly fees for another bot that isn’t a quarter as good as Honorbuddy is on its worst day. Of course, I talk about price changes/increases after already buying two lifetime accounts so I may just be talking out of my ass. 

No, I won't pay for it if it's turned into a monthly or yearly fee. That's why I bought lifetime. Don't act retarded.

Sorry to take it off topic man. however, on another off topic, I am now revered with all goblin factions and working my way to exalted with your wonderful Insane Title profiles. Thanks for all the work on that one. :)

I like Rift and really hope it survives the huge pressure that will come when Diablo 3 and Sw:tor come out.

Meanwhile, we expect a new HB with the new GUI to be ready by June 6.

OP, I have warned Tony that changing from his bee would be a Greek tragedy of epic dimensions. We can only hope he listens...

Donkeys are better, i like donkeys, Tony should get a donkey avatar.

Also, Rift might be fun, the PVP part seems ok, the questing is a bit dull, doing the same over and over, and as i was playing a mage the first time it took me 732 minutes to kill one mob... doh, now well that was not true, but i got tired of pressing the same button over and over.

I bought rift for me and the wife, about 20 of our online friends also decided to buy it. about 18 of them and us have already quit playing it. It was an ok game, and will not die off fast but it will drop in pop pretty fast imo. Its a total cash grab any way you look at it. The game is booming atm, why not spend alittle time to make a bot and grab the cash while its flowing?
