ShamWOW for HB2 - An Enhance/Elemental/Resto + PVP/RaF Healbot by Bobby53

I am thinking about running some instances/heroics with my shammy coming up here. Are there any suggestions as to tweaking the healing settings to optimize my output? Is there a suggested resto spec I should be using? (Elitist Jerks comes to mind.) Or am I good to go right out of the box? Those with experience I would love to have your advice either in the forum or through a PM. Thanks for the great class Bobby!

a few days ago i dinged 85 i spent a fortune on gearing my resto shammy up and he was ready for raiding!!
before the raid i used the cc in heroics and it was superb seriousley superb.
before i continue i will say i did read that this is not fully supported for raiding!!
anyway tonight i was in a guild raid group doing bot, killing trash it worked well but when it came to boss fights i paid more attention to my healing on recount and even though i changed settings as much as i could to just heal the raid grp as we had healers specially for the tanks, i still was using most of my healing on the tanks so eventually i went oom and the raid fellapart.
from reading post above this one i would also love to see an option to heal grp only etc.

my experience with shammys is limited to say the least and when someone said to me why am i only putting earthshield on tank when i can put it on 3 people i simple panicked as i guess im relying on the cc too much.
be awsome to see some more specific options on the cc

dnt take this as me complaining as its a superb cc thats made my playing wow a pleasure
o and another thing say the whole grp dies or they at low health after a fight the cc is making my healer heal everyone before i chill for mana and also he makes sure all have full health then he sits for mana then he will rez the dead but in most scenarios peoplewould rez-heal-eat

 

I would love to have this option too.

I'm sure this is posted somewhere else among these many pages, but In raids My resto shammy keeps spamming between ES and WS. I just can't figure out why.

 

Thanks for the feedback. Be sure to see the ShamWOW FAQ for details on the information needed for any post you would like me to research. I recommend speccing Elemental for healing through Level 29 as a form of dual-spec. Spec Elemental, but in the LFD indicate you are a Healer/DPS. Since you only have a single spec InstanceBuddy allows it and the results. As you hit higher levels, but especially as you hit end game, you will want to gear and spec appropriate for the role otherwise you will face challenges. If you are going OOM, then it is one of several things:

1. The instance is too advanced for your equipped gear/build
2. One or more party/raid members is not adequately geared/skilled for the encounter
3. There is an issue in the CC that has not been encountered by others

The design premise of ShamWOW is that its good to go out of the box. It scans all the available data (spec, build, glyphs, level, enemies level, number of enemies, combat scenario [solo/pvp/raf/etc.] and attempts to make the best decision possible. As for spec, I recommend EJ as it is used as a design manifesto for this CC.

Bobby is there a way we can change this melee range insidie of shamwow or in hb so we could swap in and out between boss's?

 

Hey bobby53, i was wondering if you could do something about the way a shaman uses lightning shield.. was watch it and it's always using lightning shield after if gets out of combat and it's not bad, but how often does a shammy use lightninh shield right after combat?? Higher levels i'd say it would come in more handy...?

 

Hi! I have a problem, don't have any idea how to fix it.
I have 2 shammies one questing and one accompanying him as it is not possible to raf for quests.
the ench shammy,questing, is always overwriting the healer shammy's,partybot, earth shiled with water shield. i have tried to lower the percentage of the watershiled switching but it did not help.
how to turn off shielding for the questing shammy as healer shammy will always cast the earthshield on him.
the reason i am using one questing one party is that they are linked to each other and 3x xp from the quests is imba! and with grant a level option i can grant a level to partybot shammy once in 2 levels so they are always at the same level.

 

Remove Telluric Currents from your talents and you'll stop it from fighting. Also Focused Insight - that's strictly a PvP talent.

Do talents decide what spec the bot chooses? My resto shaman is going elemental :[

 

Make sure you have it set to healing only in ShamWoW options.

Would be cool for elemental totem to be used whenever its off cooldown. same with heroism/bloodlust. Maybe a "3+ enemies" kinda thing.

Hey Bobby, Been a while since my last update with you. Just wanted to chime in and give you something to laugh about. I was doing random heroics with a guildie yesterday. We are both specced and glyphed exactly alike. Only difference between us is that he is at iL350+ and my shammy is only 333. Needless to say he was working his ass off trying to stay ahead of me on dps thanks to you. I do have one small request if at all possible. Would it be possible if while "Disable CC Movement" option is checked to be able to use "Hex and Bind Elemental" spells without the CC trying to attack the cc'ed target afterwards. If you can please implement this. I really enjoy using your CC while manually running only problem is that it is useless for CC atm in a group situation. Once again I really do appreciate all of your hard work.

 

Yes, it auto detects based upon the currently active build. You do not have to change any settings for it to recognize your Shaman correctly. Please see the ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions for details on posting an issue regarding unexpected behavior.
