Sincerely, The Battle.net Account Team Online Privacy Policy I'm not 100% sure as to why they would lock my account due to suspicious activity? I bot on the account and send all mats to main, sell no gold from the account and I don't use Honorbuddy on this account, just Gatherbuddy.. Anyone know what this can be from? And yes it's real because I tried to login through battlenet and it tells me the same stuff.. I just don't want to unlock account and get banned.
If you have an authenticator up, the case may be that someone is trying to log onto your account from an unsafe IP (Not local to yours), and that Blizzard is taking this action to prevent any harm to you and your account.
This email happens when a login to your account from an IP relatively distant from you logs in. When I powerlevel people on the west coast (I'm from Oregon), I usually don't get IP Blocked, but with some east coast, Canadian, and EU accounts, the first log in from my IP will lock the account and send this email to them. They will have to respond to the email and change their password; once the password is changed I can continue to log on and level the characters with no further problems. It lets you know there's been a chance in your typical login access in regards to your IP and whatnot.
I got that one too 2 weeks ago and I think its the first thing they do if you get reported. In my case it was after the laste HB Release and my toon got stuck and ran for like an hour into a wall and someone whisperd me like "OO?" so i think i got reported. After that a few days later i got the same E-Mail as above... AND MY IP never Changes BTW when is the next HB Release?
I've noticed if you have an authenticator on your account you can log in from anywhere, I did in in NZ and a few other places on my trip. I loggin in with the wifes account (no auth), and they locked it in 2 mins due to suspicious activity.
I had the very same thing happen to me when I decided to try and log in and say hello to my guildies from work. Maybe I should put an authenticator on that account. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sorry about the late response.. I'm going to unlock the account but keep it inactive until my main runs out of mats again. Thanks too those that replied.
