Hello, I would like to know how should we do to be able to log the new HB (2.0.0.5063). Because since the update 4.2 of WOW I can not connect to honorbuddy. Thank you in advance
I think you need to explain a bit better what your problem is, can you not find the login window? try download and reinstall a new HB not just extracting over the old one. If the problem is the connection to HB?s server, then it is most likely your router or firewall.

There is no 'message requirements' to using Honorbuddy. You just download it (HB-2.0.0.5063) and start using. If you are testing it out, then the login credentials are 'test/t3st', and good for the Questbot and Grindbot until your toon hits level 20. After that, you have to buy it. cheers, chinajade
Ok very weird. the previous HB i can start with no problem and with this one it launches as i can see it in the processes but i cant see the login window and cant seem to find it. Restart ir, redownloaded clean, ... noting but the older previous one still starts and can see the login window... In this case i cant give a log since i cant start the thing (ps: even with all previous releases it work with no problems.)
Hi, Soussi, You should start your on thread, rather than hijack someone else's. The first things to check: 1) WoWclient in 'windowed' mode--full scren is a no-no. 2) Honorbuddy is started in admin mode (right-click on it, and "Run as Administrator") The log file should still be present, even if you can't see the window. Sorry didnt mean to hijack it. Tought to put it here as its almost the same problem and didnt know i need to make a new one. Tried as admin but didnt change a thing. That log is seriously goobered. Either the version you have is out-of-date, or its been stepped on really bad. Try a fresh install of HB-2.0.0.5063 into a clean directory. Give it a try before installing any plugins or custom classes. Don't even copy your Settings directory across before the test. I can see why your window isn't popping up. The code that is supposed to read the window layout directives is throwing exceptions all over the place. The only thing I know to fix this is a clean install. cheers, chinajade
Still can't see the HB window screen tried rebooting and stuff but didnt help. Tried to start the old HB and the window popped up. So i think there is something changed with the execuion file? ps: i am running HB from WM ware XP professional and have wow on my max osx. Never had issues with older releases. Thanks for the new log. Unfortunately, its just demonstrating the same problem. The reason you can see the window in the old Honorbuddy is that the painting/placement instructions were embedded into the .exe file. The new Honorbuddy uses XAML to define its painting/placement instructions. This allows it to be themed and internationalized, which the old one didn't support. The setup you describe is completely unsupported. But, I'm certain that others in our Community have similar setups. There is no possibility of 'going back' to older versions. Those versions won't work with the 4.2 version of the WoWclient, and are no longer supported. I'm tapped out. You may have to get Tony to help you with this. He's at UTC+2 or so, and goes on vacation in a couple of days for two weeks. So, you need to catch up with him quickly. Apologies we were unable to get it resolved here. cheers, chinajade
i know my hb has seen trouble lately, nothing too drastic just annoying, with mine though (win 7, latest hb) it will pop up the login screen and login fine, but once the hb window gets past the shared account screen it sorta disappears, what i do is just minimize hb, then restore it from the task bar... dont know if it will work for u but it has for me
